"Sadie," Alyssa choked.

"What the fuck is a dark room?" My gaze flashed between them.

"Wait," Brianna smirked, "you've never been to the dark room?" I shook my head. She huffed out a laugh. "See, I told you she wasn't a girlfriend." She twisted around to the sink flicking off the water.

"What the fuck is a dark room?"

"Sadie," Alyssa's voice was calming, but there was no such thing right now.

"Alyssa." Brianna's her eyes narrowed on Alyssa in a warning.

"We can't." Casey sighed. "You'll have to talk to Jayden."

"Let's go, girls," Brianna sang as if she was the pack leader. Brianna pushed through the door, and the rest followed.

Squeezing my eyes shut, I twisted around to the sink to steady myself.

"Sadie." My eyes flashed open, locking on Alyssa through the mirror. "Everything that happens in that room is hush-hush, but I can promise that if you want to know if Jayden was in that room with Brianna, then ask Jayden because there's no way Brianna knows for sure." I nodded, realizing I had to ask Jayden if I wanted to know anything. Her eyes flashed over her shoulder in fear and then back to me. "Brianna's had a thing for Jayden since freshman year. He didn't want her; he wanted you."

"Thanks." I smiled, twisting around and following her out of the bathroom.

I needed to find Jayden.

I scanned the room until my eyes landed on Jayden standing at the bar with KJ. I stormed up to him shoving my finger into his chest.

"Hey," KJ said. "There she is. You want another drink?"

"What is the dark room?" They both exchanged glances, the corners of their lips curved up in a devilish grin. "What is it?"

JAYDEN

"Seriously, Jayden?"Sadie followed me into my bedroom. "What is the dark room?"

"Who told you about the darkroom?" I didn't bother to hide my irritation. Irritation that something that was supposed to be secret wasn't. Whoever told would be punished.

"It doesn't matter," she gritted out. "I want to know what it is."

"It's a room that's dark." I shrugged sarcastically before reaching back and pulling my shirt over my head.

"Funny." She sneered. Pinching the bridge of my nose, I inwardly groaned. I had way too much to deal with right now with my sister staying with me to deal with this too. I had zero intention of ever taking her to the dark room because that meant sharing her. "Jayden, I'm serious."

But then again, maybe that was what I needed. It would keep her out of Bri's path for tonight, and I'd become more attached to her than I'd planned. She'd become my obsession, an obsession I hadn't wanted to share, but maybe sharing her would pull me back to reality because I couldn't keep Sadie. In four months, I'd graduate and go home, and I already had a life planned for me back home. A life that didn't include Sadie.

"The darkroom is supposed to be a secret," I muttered. "What happens in the darkroom stays in the dark room."

"Do you go to the darkroom?" Glaring at me, she crossed her arms over her chest cocking her hip to the side.

"Sometimes," I lied. I'd never been in the darkroom except to escort my first Rally Girl through the doors, and even then, I didn't participate. I watched through night vision goggles. It had been the only time I'd been in there, and I'd never planned to participate. I preferred to watch.

"Why haven't you taken me into the dark room?"

"Because you were a virgin," I lied again. It had nothing to do with her virginity and everything to do with not wanting to share her.

"And now?"

"Is that what you want, Sadie?" My tone was laced with annoyance. "Do you want me to take you into the dark room?"
