Colbie began erasing her board as the final bell rang for the day. It was Friday, and she was more than happy to have a couple of days of rest and relaxation. It’d been two days since Dallis showed up at her house, and so far, he had been true to his word. He hadn’t tried anything with her in school and hadn’t shown up at her house again.

That said, he had still been trying to have her shook. He would constantly give her that smile or a look that screamed of sexual promises. He would run his eyes over her while biting his lip. When he got to a particular part below her waist, his eyes would linger, and he would slowly trace his tongue along his bottom lip.

She knew all too well what he was staring at. It was as if his gaze was physically touching her. As much as she hated to admit it, she often felt heat coil within her stomach. It was ridiculous. Yet, she couldn’t even fault him because he hadn’t touched her.

She was halfway through erasing her board when her classroom door opened. She’d closed it after her last class of the day because one of her colleagues was moving some desks around and it was a bit noisy. Looking over, she found Dallis walking in. He closed the door behind him before smiling at her. Looking her up and down, he walked towards her.

Sis, we need to start carrying extra pairs of panties around, GiGi stated.

Colbie mentally rolled her eyes as Dallis stopped at her desk. It was quiet between them for a moment as she looked up at him.

“Dallis, was there something you needed?” she questioned, swallowing at the look that immediately entered his eyes.

“To be deep inside of you while you moan beneath me.”

His words caused her breath to hitch, and Colbie wondered not for the first time where the hell he got his boldness from. She had to admit it was attractive, and it was probably one of the reasons she found herself attracted to him despite his age. Sometimes, she forgot that he was one of her students when she found herself inadvertently thinking about him, as she had a couple of nights ago.

“But, since I’m trying to be patient and prove to you sex isn’t all I want, I’ll settle on taking you out this weekend.”

Colbie tilted her head, looking at him as if he had spoken another language. It sounded like he had just asked her on a date, but she knew that couldn’t have been right. He wouldn’t have done that. When she didn’t say anything, he spoke again.

“I need an answer, Colbie.”

“You aren’t serious, right? We can not go out on a date.”

She watched as he lifted a brow at her before narrowing his eyes. “Let me guess. It’s the same shit about you being my teacher and me being your student,” he spat out.

“Dallis, we can’t just go out on dates. I have a job to think about.”

“What we do off school grounds and outside school hours is nobody’s business but ours.”

“Everyone else won’t see it that way.”

“You’re probably right,” he responded, and Colbie thought she had gotten her point across to him. “So, fuck them,” he then stated. Or not.

“Dallis-”

“I’ll take you somewhere that the risk of us bumping into anyone we know will be slim,” he informed her. “But I am taking you out this weekend.”

Colbie thought about it for a moment, knowing she shouldn’t be thinking about it at all. However, she couldn’t get Lawrence’s words from a couple of days ago out of her head.

“Fine, but ithasto be somewhere that we won’t run into anyone.”

“I told you it would be,” he stated. “I’ll pick you up tomorrow at noon.”

“Noon?” she questioned, wondering what exactly they would be doing that he needed to pick her up so early.

“Yes,” he responded as he headed for the door. “Dress comfortably,” he then added before he walked out.

Colbie went back to cleaning her board and wondered exactly what she had gotten into.

If we’re lucky— a good time.GiGi stated.

Colbie walked through her front door after staying at school an additional hour to finish grading some papers. Sitting her bag on the table by the door and placing her keys onto the hook, she headed to her home phone, where the message light was blinking. She pressed play on the message, and her mother’s voice came through loud and clear.

I know you have seen my calls over the past few days, Colbie Lynae Morris. I have been trying to see if you are coming to Thanksgiving dinner. Your sister told me she spoke to you, so you are deliberately ignoring my calls. Do not make me come down there and whoop your ass; you are not too old contrary to what you may believe. Call me back. I mean it.

Colbie rolled her eyes. Although they were both grown, her mother was always threatening to whoop her or her sister. She made a mental note to call her back, though. She had decided to go home for Thanksgiving. It was just a few weeks away. Next Saturday marked November first, and knowing her mother, she was already planning and taking a head count, so she would let her know soon.
