“Uh-huh.” I chuckled as I shut off the car and turned toward her. I smoothed her hair back that had fallen out of her ponytail, my palm resting on her cheek. “We’re going to spend a few hours being pampered, and then I’m taking you out to eat. They have a boutique inside, so you can pick out something to wear.”

“Yes, Sir,” she purred, her pupils dilating as I held her face in my hands.

Dax had been right. We needed to take the reins more with Henley at times. She was so used to taking care of everyone else that she forgot to do anything for herself. Henley was self-sufficient, exuding girl boss energy unlike anyone I’d ever met before. It was easy to forget she needed to let go of control and let others lead. It didn’t hurt how much I loved when she called me sir.

“Good girl.”

My voice had become husky, the energy in the car shifting. It had been over a week since I’d last been with Henley, and my body craved her. The earlier kiss hadn’t been enough to settle my desire, especially after watching her tease me during the shoot. Now that I had her alone, every part of me woke up, ready to consume her.

Henley’s eyelids fluttered at my praise, and she sucked in a breath. Leaning forward, I gave in to the need to feel her lips pressed against mine. Our tongues twirled together, seeking more from one another. My hands ached to touch her, to roam over her soft skin and feel all her curves. Flexing my hand, I pulled back before dragging her into my lap and dealing with paying off anyone who caught us later.

As tempting as it sounded, it wasn’t me or how I wanted to spend my wealth. Plus, I’d kill anyone who saw Henley outside of us three guys.

“You know, I’d planned to tease you and leave you wanting during that photo shoot,” Henley admitted, licking her lips as she caught her breath. “You’re always leaving me breathless that I wanted to pay you back. But then I remembered how miserable those things make me, and all thoughts of seducing you went out the window. Your kisses make me forget my name, Fletch.”

Henley’s hands stroked my beard, my eyes closing voluntarily as I leaned into her touch.

“Good,” I grunted, not able to get any other words out. We stared at one another, and I’d never been more accepted and seen by a person than I was by Henley. She’d always captivated me back in college, but I’d never taken the time to look deeper.

“What?” she asked, looking over my face.

“You’re it for me, Baby Shaw. There’s no future where you’re not part of it. Do you understand?”

She nodded, her eyes wide. I knew she’d joked earlier about proposing, and I had planned to talk to the others. But right here, at this moment, I had to hold myself back from blurting it out. I wouldn’t ruin that moment between us by asking on a whim.

Plus, she’d been right that the other two needed to be involved. I didn’t know where they stood on the matter, but out of respect, I’d clue them in on my plans.

“Come on. It’s time to be pampered, baby.”

I reluctantly withdrew from the Jeep, shifting my erection as I walked around the back. Henley climbed out, her legs a little wobbly as she stood on the ground. A primal sense of satisfaction roared through me at knowing I’d been the one to make her off-balance.

Taking her hand, I walked her into the spa, excited to spend some time with her that was just about us. No companies, no mothers, no exes. This was our time, and I planned to use it wisely.

“Hello, can I help you?” the woman at the front desk asked, her eyes trailing over our leisure wear.

“Yes. I believe my assistant called. I’m Fletcher Cromwell.”

Her eyes went wide, her face changing at the name. I doubt she knew who I was, but based on whatever Kim had promised them, she knew I was important. Or at least my money was.

“Right this way, Mr. and Mrs. Cromwell.” She hurried around the desk and led us to a door off to the side. “We have a private room where you can select which treatments you’d like to choose today. Once you have those entered, your attendants will be with you, providing you with whatever you need. There’s champagne and a charcuterie board. Do you require anything else?”

“Water?” Henley asked, her eyes taking in everything as she looked around.

“Of course, Mrs. Cromwell.”

Henley’s cheeks heated at the moniker, but I secretly loved how it sounded and the fact she didn’t correct her. This might be easier to seal than I expected.

Wooden doors opened to a room where two massage tables sat. A fountain trickling water was in front of them, floor-to-ceiling windows looked out over the mountains, and there was a private infinity pool designed to resemble a hot water spring with enough Epsom salt to make any person float. Electric candles lit the room, giving off a soft glow and cozy feeling.

“Here’s the selection of services on offer. Once you hit submit, your time at Tranquil Spa will begin. You can use the messaging app here if you have any questions or need anything else.” She pointed out the packages and buttons to Henley before walking over and pulling out a bottle of water, and placing it with the champagne.

“This is incredible,” Henley said, her voice light and airy. Letting me know I’d been right to bring her here. She was already relaxing and feeling less stressed.

“Which do we want to do? I was thinking of the baths out there, a massage, and maybe a trim. My beard is getting a bit unruly.”

Henley’s eyes sparkled as she ran her eyes over my face. “It is, but I kind of like it. You’re like a sexy lumberjack on skates. Lumberskates? Hockeyjack?” She giggled. “You got the hockey flow on your face,” she teased.

“If anyone in our group has the hockey flow, it’s Dax. He’s the one with the hair.” I lifted my eyebrows, challenging her.
