She got her very large and very pricey company car and waited for the ladies. Three minutes later, she drove off with one boss and two giggling newly mated ladies. They had slipped the tests into the pockets of their separate primary alphas and were waiting for the phone calls.
Libby could see their future, and the longer she concentrated, the further it went.
Altar Bright asked her, “So, you met Elias?”
“Sort of. He was a little too large for the space between tables.”
“He was very disappointed that you weren’t an omega. Now where would he get that idea?”
Libby smirked. “Well, I am not. Technically.”
“And technicalities matter. He’s on my books for a new branch of one of our charities. We are planning a groundbreaking event for a kids’ exercise park in two weeks.”
She played dumb. “Sounds complicated, Ms. Bright.”
“It does, doesn’t it? I wonder if Emma will be able to manage things.”
The jab that was delivered by referring to the notoriously predatory Emma made Libby mutter as she turned the vehicle and made their way back to the office. “You want me to help just because Elias likes how I smell.”
“There is more to it, but he’s a very good guy.”
“Thank god you didn’t say nice guy.” She had fallen for that one before.
“I am not an idiot, Libby. So, what is your wish?”
“I am not falling for that, Altar. I am keeping my wish to myself.”
Altar chuckled. “You are smarter than you were.”
“I would have to be.” She pulled into the garage and drove up to the reserved space waiting for her right next to the elevator. When the controlling team of the foundation was in the elevator, Libby looked toward the two who were smiling and giggling. “They look happy.”
“They are. Their mates are happy. They will have to wiggle for their places together and get used to each other, but they are friends who now will be raising families together.”
“I think that will make the nursery both excited and nervous.” She grinned as Merry and Ula turned to stare at her.
“How will you feel about that?” Altar was curious.
“It isn’t my vag that the kids are coming out of. But I will be the seventh on the line of birth partners if they need me.”
Merry grinned. “That is actually a tremendous comfort.”
Ula nodded. “I agree. The guys are going to be great, but I would rather have someone that doesn’t have skin in the game other than just getting us both out alive.”
Libby nodded. “Sure.”
The bosses she worked for squealed and hugged her, Altar snorted, and when they exited on their floor, they were chattering in Libby’s ear, and the normally self-controlled women were excited by the possibilities they were carrying inside them.
Libby shoved them into their respective offices and saw them pick up their phones to chatter like teens.
Libby smiled and got back to work. She bet the guys would storm the castle in an hour or less.
Chapter Nine
Libby got the notice that her presence was requested in a planning meeting. Just as she confirmed the meeting that started in fifteen minutes, the elevator doors opened, and she looked at the six men who had crammed into the elevator.
She looked at Giovanni as her fingers cruised over her keyboard. “How may I assist you?”
“We are here for Merry. She left something with us.”
