Larkin faced her and took both of her hands. “Mara texted and told me the problem. I think my dad will ask yours if you can come to our house until you guys get someone to be with you when Alex works.”
Raina’s mouth dropped open. “But I don’t need to have anyone with me.”
Larkin giggled. “They wouldn’t dare leave a little alone. We get into trouble that way.”
“But I’m not sure what’s going to happen with me and Alex. I’ve got to deal with my home.”
“I know. Mara told me.”
“Oh, no. Did you tell your daddy the problem? Because he’ll tell Alex, I don’t want to involve him.”
“But why?” Larkin asked.
“He has to go back to work. He doesn’t have time to deal with this.”
“I didn’t tell my daddy. I pinky-promised, but I think Alex already knew.”
“There’s no way,” Raina said. “They weren’t in the room when I talked to Mara.”
Larkin snorted. “Alex has a few cameras in here to keep track of the littles.”
Raina’s eyes widened as she looked around the room. “Where?”
Larkin pointed out one. “That’s all I know of, but I’d guess there are more.”
“Oh, no,” Raina said and looked around frantically. “I have to go…”
“You’re not going anywhere, Baby.”
Raina gasped and saw Alex in the doorway with a stern look on his face.
Raina felt Larkin pat her on the back. “It’s okay. The daddies can fix it. They can fix anything.”
Raina exhaled and relaxed. She’d have to trust Alex for the moment, but she would need a backup plan.
Alex held his hand out. “Come with me.”
Raina went to him and let him lead her into the office. He sat down in a chair and pulled her down onto his lap. Raina noticed that Darian did the same thing with Larkin, which looked natural.
“We know what’s going on,” Alex said.
“You have cameras?” Raina said.
Alex nodded. “Yes. It’s a way to protect the littles.”
“Oh.”
Alex squeezed her leg. “I want you to tell us everything.”
Raina exhaled and started her story again.
Chapter Twelve
The more Alex heard, the madder he got. He couldn’t wait to get that bitch out of Raina’s house.
He rubbed her back when she started to get upset.
“Do you know the guy’s name?” Darian asked.
