Page 67 of Say You Love Me

“It was.” Hudson sits on the couch. “But then I was thinking about all the time we had up here. Alone. Without the fear of people popping in for a visit. Without my parents living around the corner.”

He winks. He actually winks. As though it’s something to joke about. As though he has no idea of my desperation for him. Him alone.

Rylee flops to the couch beside me, leaning his head on my shoulder. “Are you not pleased to see me, Fin?” His hand slides up my neck and cups my cheek, tilting my head toward him. “I missed you.”

His words are breathless and dreamy. Gone is the agitated Rylee we left at the house and in his place is someone floating on clouds. He places a chaste kiss on my cheek. “Fuck it’s cold. Think I might go have a shower, get out of these clothes.”

“Upstairs to the right,” Hudson directs.

Rylee gets to his feet and holds out his hand. “Care to join me, Fin?”

Hudson’s expression is blank. It’s as though he’s waiting for me to respond without guidance. A knot of dread twists at the back of my throat. It’s painful to swallow. I don’t know what he expects of me. It was only hours ago that he had me naked and spread out on the wooden planks of the jetty as the rain pelted my skin. Only hours ago that he was inside me, claiming me as his own.

“You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” Rylee’s voice is low and gentle. There’s no aggression in his eyes. No demand.

“I had a shower not long ago.” I move my gaze to Hudson. We’d showered together. He’d pressed me against the tiles and made love to me for the second time that day.

“There’s no harm in having another, is there?” It’s Hudson who says it and my heart breaks a little. He wants me to go to Rylee. He still wants to share me as though I am something to be passed between them. As though I’m there for their pleasure and theirs alone.

“No,” I say the word quietly and firmly.

Some sort of ripple vibrates through Hudson’s body and he gets to his feet, eyes aflame and set on me. “No?” he repeats. He strides toward me, and I push myself further into the couch, almost cowering from him.

We’ve been here before.

A lick of arousal jolts through me.

I look up at him defiantly, jutting my chin into the air. “No.”

“It’s what I want, Finity.” His eyes are burning, his arms trembling as they grip the back of the couch.

I shake my head and he reaches out to grip my chin, forcing me to keep my head still. I glare at him, something dark and dangerous igniting between us. Is this what he wanted all along? For me to say no. For me to defy him and give him a reason to fuck me with hate?

“The man asked you nicely. Now be a good girl and let him fuck you.”

“I think you should let her go.” Rylee’s voice startles me. I’d almost forgotten he was there. I was too set on the burning intensity in Hudson’s eyes. Too distracted by the coil of lust unraveling inside.

Hudson ignores him. He moves closer, pressing his knee to the couch between my legs, applying pressure at my core. I wonder if he can feel the heat radiating from that place. I wonder if he can feel my need.

Rylee’s hand lands on his shoulder and Hudson whips around, shoving his face into Rylee’s. The curls of Rylee’s hair sway under his breath.

“Just go have your shower.”

“I’m not going to let you hurt her.”

Hudson snorts. “You have no idea what goes on between my wife and me. Now leave. Go have your shower like a good little fuck-boy and if you’re lucky, later on I might let you come inside my wife.”

The words sound so crude. So filthy. So dirty. But even as they come out of Hudson’s mouth, my body is quivering with need. I want Hudson angry. I want him to bend me over the back of the couch and fuck me with abandon.

Rylee looks to me with pleading eyes. He wants me to tell him to stay or to say I’ll go with him.

“Leave Rylee.” My voice is low and cold.

Rylee takes a step toward the hall, stopping once to look back at me again.

“Now,” I say.
