I remained in my position and observed both of them.

I recognized the woman as an old patient who had slipped a disc and was undergoing treatment. She was in her fifties and had a son who always accompanied her. I didn't see him at first, but he showed up.

He said something to Crystal, and she burst into laughter and playfully pushed his shoulder.

I formed a fist and slowly gritted my teeth. The three of them continued their conversation and played around a bit, and he made both of them laugh a lot.

The woman said something, and Crystal's face softened.

The man seemed nervous about something but continued to talk. It looked like a question. She seemed to think about it for a second or two before nodding positively.

I was angry.

Just what could they have been talking about?

Once again, I don't understand why I was so worked up.

I wanted to go there and interrupt their conversation, but I held myself back.

But still…it pissed me off.

She was openly joyful while talking to him but maintained a straight face when with me.

I frowned.

"That's it, I'm going over there,"I said to myself.

My eyes were covered by two hands from behind me.

Who the fuck was that?!

"Guess who?" A familiar voice asked playfully.

My anger reduced as I recognized the voice.

"Amanda, we're in public," I said.

"Jeez, it's just playing around," she defended with a giggle as she let go off my eyes and stood in front of me.

I didn't focus on her and quickly turned my attention to where Crystal and the patient had been, but they were no longer there.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were not pleased to see me," she said in a pouting tone.

"Don't mind me. Today isn't really the best of days for me," I said with a nervous chuckle.

"Well, it's a good thing I'm here to spice it up for you then," she said with confidence.

"Yeah…a good thing," I replied.

"Were you going somewhere?" she asked, "It's been a while since I've seen you without your scrubs. You look really good."

She wore a mini gown, one I had bought for her because I had thought it would look good on her.

And it was easy to take off for a quickie.

"You don't look so bad yourself," I said as I looked towards where Crystal had been.

"You're really distracted," she said as she held my arm and pulled me towards my office.
