"You see, right now you aren't even talking to me. You're thinking about him," Sarah said, her words bringing me back to the land of the living.

"I just don't know if I'm ready to forgive him. Even if I wanted to, I just can't forget what he did," I said.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," she said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Uh…" she seemed like she was hiding something. "It's nothing. Pay it no mind."

"Oh no, I need to pay it some mind," I frowned, "Tell me."

"Catherine said there's a chance that it might have just been a misunderstanding," she replied.

"How does she know that?" I asked.

"That's what he explained," she replied with a shrug.

"What do you think?" I asked her, "Should I just forgive him and start over?"

"That'll always be left to you." She replied, "are you going to drink it or not?"

I opened the matcha tea then grimaced at the flavor.

Harold

"I can do this," I hyped myself up the night before the day of the plan.

But first, I needed to check in on Crystal.

From what I heard, the operation she had been part of was successful.

"But the boss is amazing, isn't he?" I overheard a nurse saying.

"Yeah, Catherine said she, Sarah, and that independent doctor girl couldn't do anything, because he had it all covered," the other said.

"I swear geniuses like him will always steal hearts," the first nurse said.

"Wish I could have access to a man like him," the other sighed, "But all I keep getting are these dogs that want to hump on my leg like it means anything to me."

Dogs?

I recalled what Adam had said to me,"The guard dog can never get to sleep with the mistress."

Now I felt inferior to him.

"He doesn't matter, and these nurses don't matter either," I said to myself.

Only one person mattered, and that was Crystal.

There was no real need to use the blackmail materials, considering that Crystal was ignoring and being cold towards the bastard. With time she'd get used to the feelings, and he'd get tired of her coldness and move on to another bitch or slut.

Crystal and Sarah weren't in her office. So, I decided to look for her.

Then I found both of them near the vending machine.

I was about to call out to them, but I stopped and hid.

They seemed to be talking about something.
