Page 57 of Seductive Desires

I planned on heading to the hotel for dinner. There was a beautiful restaurant right on the beach that I hadn’t gone to yet. The tables were all situated in the sand with string lights above them. The music was always upbeat and the food smelled delicious every time I passed by. But I got distracted by the sunset. A collage of oranges, pinks, and purples stained the sky, reflecting in the water. I stood motionless, taking it all in. It was breathtaking.

It was almost too beautiful to experience alone. I dragged in a ragged breath. There is only one person I wish I could share it with.

“Hello, mariposa.”

ChapterTwenty-Eight

I’m dreaming. That's the only thing to explain it. I fell asleep in my hotel room instead of going out like I said I would. I hesitated, almost afraid to turn around. When I did, I locked eyes with him and instantly burst into tears.

Mateo stood behind me, his hands stuffed into his pockets. He was wearing a short sleeve button down and a pair of khaki slacks. It was a lot more simple than he normally wore but he still looked like he had just walked off the runway. I threw myself at him, wrapping my arms around his waist. He enveloped me immediately, curling around me.

“What are you doing here?” I sobbed, my voice muffled against his chest.

“I am here for you, mariposa.” When I looked up at him, he pulled back, wiping my tears with his thumbs. His eyes were misty, his voice shaking just a little. “I am a selfish bastard, mariposa. I know you said goodbye but I cannot let you go. Not until you know how I feel.”

I lifted onto my toes, capturing his lips. My hands slid up his chest and around his neck. He dipped low enough to grab my thighs, lifting me into his arms. I wrapped my legs around his hips automatically, never breaking the kiss. One of his big hands cupped my neck, keeping me close. When we pulled apart, I pressed my forehead against his, tears still running down my face.

“I love you, Mateo.”

He smiled at me, kissing me lightly. “You are stealing my line, mariposa. I was supposed to say it first.”

He captured my lips again, but this one was more sweet and playful. Like Mateo. He nipped at my bottom lip and chased my tongue with his until I broke away, laughing. His broad smile was more brilliant than the sunset behind me, only interrupted by gentle kisses. I wanted to hug him close but I also didn’t want to look away from his smile for even a second.

“Te amo, Mariana. More than life itself.”

He squeezed me tightly, pressing his face against my neck. I held him close for a while but I started to worry he would get tired, holding me up like this. No way was he all healed from the injuries he got.

I pulled away, wiggling to get down. “I’m heavy, put me down before you hurt yourself.”

He made a face. “Says who? You are lighter than air, mi amor.”

I melted at his term of endearment. Pressing my lips lightly against his, I cupped his cheek. He leaned into it, his face relaxed. I felt weightless at the moment, out of sheer joy, but I still wiggled to get down. He set me lightly on my feet but wouldn’t let me step away. Not that I wanted to.

“How did you know where to find me?”

He chuckled. “Carlos. He wouldn’t tell me exactly where you were, only that you went home. I think he was testing me.”

I smiled, shaking my head. Leave it to Carlos to give someone a riddle to see if they knew me well enough to be worthy of me.

Mateo cupped my cheek, pressing light kisses over my face. When he nipped my neck, a shiver ran through me and I pressed myself against him. He stiffened.

“Careful, mariposa. Keep distracting me and we won’t make it farther than my hotel room tonight.”

I flashed him a sly grin. He didn’t know my hotel room was right behind him. I took his hands in mine, pulling him to follow me. He grinned, probably remembering the last time I led him away like this. When we walked onto the patio in front of my room, his eyebrows went up. I shrugged.

“I decided to splurge a little.”

I pulled him through the glass doors, shutting them behind me and locking them with a click. When I spun around, his eyes were on me, hungry and intense. We both burst into movement at once, crashing against each other. He had me up in his arms again as I fisted his hair, groaning as he stroked his tongue against mine. The room spun for a moment before he dropped us both onto the bed. His mouth stayed fused to mine as he ran his hand down my front, cupping my breasts through my dress. It was too warm to fight with a bra this morning so I could feel his scorching heat through the thin material of the dress.

He broke the kiss, dragging his lips across my chin and down my neck. He slipped the straps of the dress over my shoulders, pulling until he bared me to him. He laid a kiss on the swell of each breast, sucking one nipple lightly before doing the same to the other. He didn’t linger, dropping kisses down my stomach as he stripped my dress off completely.

I fought the urge to squirm when he pulled off my panties. Starting at my ankle, he kissed his way up my leg. When he reached my core, I held my breath. I felt his breath skating over me. My legs trembled.

The first swipe of his tongue had me throwing my head back. He swirled his tongue around my entrance, tasting me. His groan vibrated against me and I gasped. When he dipped his tongue inside me, I squeezed my eyes shut and moaned. He traced his way up to my clit, teasing me with the tip of his tongue. I gripped his hair, rocking against him.

I could feel him grin against me. He glanced up at me. “Always have to be in control, mariposa. Relax and let me take care of you.”

I released him, my eyes locked on him as he dipped back down. He flattened his tongue, lapping at me like I was his favorite ice cream. I cried out, fisting the bedding in an attempt to keep my hands to myself. Pressure built and tingles spread through my body. Right as I crested the edge, he pushed two fingers inside me.
