“Brother?” I glance back at him.

He gives me a chin lift. “You’ve been seeing Sage a lot more than usual.”

Of course he would fucking know.

“I had to deliver the news in person. Your orders, remember?”

He regards me for a moment. “You fucking her again?”

My eyes drop.If only.“Not yet,” I answer, looking him directly in the eyes.

He smirks. “Like that, huh?”

“Did Marco tell you?”

He shakes his head. “Marco doesn’t need to tell me shit.”

“You’re okay with it, obviously?”

“I always have been.”

“Not you too,” I groan.

He wags a finger in my face. “Just don’t fuck with her. She’s a rare gem, Fynn. And they don’t come along very often.”

I tilt my head to the side. “Didn’t know you cared, bro.”

“She’s helped us as much as we helped her, remember that.”

I know Angelo doesn’t just want to keep Sage on our side for his own personal gain. He cares about her.

“You’ve got nothing to worry about,” I assure him.

Maybe this is his idea of giving me the hard word. I guess he might feel he needs to, but I’d never mess with her in that way.

“Good.” He nods. “The last fucking thing we need is more women drama.”

“How’re the wedding plans going?” I muse.

He gives me a look. “You think I’m planning the fucking wedding?”

“I guess showing up is a hardship for you.”

He punches me on the arm. “Something like that, though Ma is a little off my case since Mia fell pregnant. It’ll give Rayne and I some breathing room after we get hitched.”

Dante is born to play the role of doting father and husband, but Angelo? Hmm, not so much. Maybe some day.

Though Rayne definitely brought him a sense of peace that I’ve never seen before. He’s happy.

And I’m glad, because he deserves it.

“I thought you’d be wanting to knock her up the first chance you could.” I laugh.

“When the time’s right, it’ll happen.” He shrugs.

“Good things come to those who wait, so they say.”

He slaps me on the back and pulls me into his side; it’s his way of showing affection. “You’ve fucking stepped up lately, little brother. Proud of you.”
