"Yes, if she's a willing victim," Dee snorts around her wine glass. "But this one," she tilts her head in Bri's direction, "doesn't seem to be an easy target."

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I question. “She’s the easiest woman to deal with that I’ve ever come across.”

“I’m not,” she huffs.

“Oh, Darlin’, that’s exactly what a man wants to hear,” I smirk.

“You’re an ass,” she mumbles, placing her face against my chest, to hide her embarrassed blush. “And I’m not easy.”

“Yes, you are.”

“No, I’m not,” she grumbles, her face still pressed against my chest.

“For me, you are,” I reply smugly.

“You’re a pig.” She starts to push up and away from me. “And I’m not talking about the kind you eat.”

"Darlin', that's the only kind I like," I say. "I could eat it all day."

A bark of laughter leaves me at the thoroughly mortified look on Bri’s face. “Sweetheart, I only ever eat pigs.” Fuck, I wish I could erase the horrified look on her face with my lips. “You’re not pork.” I continue to laugh. I studiously ignore the mysterious coughs going on all around us.

“That was so bad,” she shakes her head, trying to hide her smile.

“Yeah, it was, but you still have to live with me,” I state.

She takes a drink of her wine and sighs, “I don’t have to do anything.”

“Yes, you do,” I laugh.

She levels a glare at me. “I don’t.”

“Can we move this somewhere else?” Jax asks, looking at Bri.

“Nope.” I run my fingers through her hair. “I’m not moving from here, until she moves in with me.”

“You’re being an ass.” Bri looks up at me, pleading with her eyes. “You can not expect me to move in with you after being together for a nanosecond. People just don't do that Xander," she sighs loudly, letting me know that I'm wearing her down.

“Yeah, we kind of do. I mean, we’re not normal,” Kea shrugs.

“See, totally normal around here," I grin widely, making her roll her eyes.

She starts to squirm away from me. I tighten my grip, refusing to let her go. “You’re going to have to deal with a lot worse than me just holdin' you on my lap in front of everyone."

“Like what?" she asks, still trying to get away.

“Like the fact that I’m going to kiss you and you’re going to like it," I state arrogantly.

“Not going to happen," she answers, but I notice her cheeks are flushed and her pupils are huge.

“You sure?” I grin wolfishly.

“Positive," she answers in a completely unconvincing way.

“I don’t know about that, Bri,” Dee drawls, her smile smug. “I’m sure he’ll make you feel like the only woman on earth, not that you aren’t already.”

“Shut up,” Bri hisses, turning a deeper shade of red.

“True,” Kea chimes in. “I’m sure he’ll kiss you until you can’t breathe.”
