I shrug and take a swig of my beer. “No clue baby. I’m not a handyman, so I don’t have the first clue.” Not anoutrightlie.

“Edge, how come you never mentioned anything being wrong at the shop or her apartment?” Kea asks suspiciously, not that I blame her, she’s married to him, she obviously hasan ideawhat he’s really like.

“You have a lot going on. Didn’t want to burden you with anything," helies smoothly with a blank look.

Kea’s lips twitch. “Cut the shit, Ryan,” damn, she used his real name. “What did you do now?" shesighs loudly.

“What do you mean? I didn’t do anything.” He actually looks hurt at her accusation, the lying bastard.

“Right, like you don’t have stalking tendencies and don’t use your evil ways to help your buddies get the girl," shehuffs.

“Stalking?” Bri questions while looking at me with wide eyes.

“Yeah,” Kea drawls. “Apparently mister innocent over here,” she points to her lying ass husband, “stalked me for about two years before we got together.”

“Damn,” Dani pipes up. “That’s commitment right there.”

Edge looks over at me and nods his head. “I like her.”

I smirk and nod along. “Me too. She’s going to be my new best friend since the other two suck.” I ignore the matching glares coming from said demons. As well as the odd growl coming from my brother.

“Why is Jax growling?” Bri asks out of the side of her mouth.

“Because, your sister has him hook, line and sucker," Iwhisper gleefully into her ear.

She frowns at me. “The saying is hook, line and sinker.”

I look over at Jax before looking back at my woman. “Sucker fits better.”

She starts to smile before giving me a glare again. “Seriously, what did you two do to my apartment to get me to live with Xander?”

“Told you, you were living with him,” Dee says with a smirk.

Bri rolls her eyes. “I meant to say‘staying with him’.”

“Uh-huh,” Dee grins, “sure you did.”

“We never did anything to the apartment,” Edge states shamelessly.

“Then what’s actually wrong with it?” Bri asks suspiciously.

“Nothin’,” Edge replies easily.

“Nothing,” Bri parrots, her brow furrowed. “You lied,”shestates flatly.

“Not necessarily,” Edge hedges. “There could be something wrong with the apartment, I just don’t know for sure.”

“What is wrong with you?” Bri questions, more to herself than anyone else.

“There’s not enough time in a year to go over all of it,” Keastates flatly, making Edge frown.

“Well, I guess I can move back into it, since there is nothing wrong,”shesays, while I ignorethe glare she sends my way in favor of panicking.

“I don’t see why you would,” Dee states, giving me a look that lets me know I’m going to owe her one. “All of your stuff is already at Xanders house. No sense is bringing it all back and forth. Might as well just stay where you’re comfortable.”

“I can’t just live with him,” Bri sputters. “We’ve only been together for like two seconds.”

“That’s kind of the norm around here,” Cadie states with a shrug. “It’s annoying at first, but eventually it works out.”
