“What’s the issue, besides the obvious?”
“Trying to figure out where we stand,” he responded. “I was your first, but Hunter has known you, and probably loved you the longest. I’ve been gone for a while, and you started a new thing with Dimitri. Dimitri was your boyfriend officially before you were taken, but all three of us are sleeping with you now, and before.”
“Sounds complicated.”
“You don’t know the half of it.”
“I could probably imagine.”
“Probably.”

HARLEIGH
For the nextcouple of weeks, we fell into a comfortable routine. Everywhere I went, I had shadows. Two to be exact. The guys alternated. Brax still hadn’t tendered his resignation, so he couldn’t be seen with me most of the time.
We made it work, though.
If it wasn’t for the lockdown and everything else, he would have already quit. Unfortunately, he had the access to the police that we need. We severed ties with most of our police contacts because of what happened.
There were only a few outside people who had access to the club. Since Brax had more than proven his loyalty to me and by extension, the club, he was allowed in. Some of the guys didn’t like it, but it wasn’t up to them. The Prez made the decision and informed everyone if there had been a vote against it, he would have vetoed it.
After what had happened to Brandt, he has been harsher than usual. It also didn’t help that he’d been arguing with Ana more since everyone moved into the clubhouse together.
Following a long discussion with the core crew, they all agreed it was time for Brax to get his patch. Everyone posed concerns over him still being on the force, so I put forth an idea that would allow him to remain hidden, but would still show his loyalty to the Reapers when and if it was ever questioned.
I couldn’t even imagine what people thought when they saw the four of us walking into Renegade Ink together. Tank was the only one who was permitted by the club to do our ink. Tonight, Brax and I would be getting tattooed with ink that only reacted to a black light. His tattoo would be first because we might have to do it in multiple sessions. As for mine, I was getting the patch I already had traced with the luminescent dye.
Clarissa looked up from the desk and smiled. When I called to make the appointment earlier in the week, I warned her I would be bringing my guys in. We were skeptical about having another woman at the front, but she had been nothing but professional since Tank hired her. He went through about four or five girls before she showed up. Too many of them were more interested in landing a hot tattoo artist or one of the bikers, than they were with earning a paycheque. Just thinking about it, I made a mental note that I should ask her to come out to the bar with Andria and I sometime.
“Sounds like I’m doing some patches for today and I might have to do another one next month.”
“We’ll see.”
“So, riddle me this,” he said. “Which one are you dating? The guys and I have a bet going.”
“Who says I have to choose?” I teased, testing the waters to see what he would think.
“And if you admitted it, your brothers would end them,” he responded.
“Exactly.”
“You do you. Life’s too short to be unhappy.”
“Words to live by,” Hunter agreed.
Halfway through Brax’s tattoo, some girls from the university strolled through the door, giggling. I recognized their faces from the campus, but hadn’t been in any classes with them.
“I can’t believe we’re here.”
“Shh,” one of them said.
“Who isthat?” she asked aloud, pointing at Brax.
“I'd love to climb that one like a tree,” her friend added.
“Sorry ladies, he's with me,” I told them.
