“As of right now, you’re just going to get beat. If you touch me, we’ll have to dig a hole because Macy won’t let you live.”

The man snorted. “A little dramatic.”

“Dude, he spent years in the military in a special group, and every day he and his friends work out. Every … day. Have you forgotten what happened last time? You hadn’t touched me, but he still wanted to kill you because you scared me. This is your only chance to run. I would do it if I were you.”

“Why are you helping me?”

“I’m not. I just don’t want Macy to be put in jail.”

“Fuck.”

Macy heard the guy dash out of the bedroom. He stuck his foot out at the last moment and tripped the man. He followed, picked him off the ground with one hand, and held him against the wall.

“Macy, you can’t kill him.”

Macy turned to her. “You never let me have any fun.”

“I know. Once you’ve gotten rid of him, I’ll give you some fun.”

“Fuck, all right.”

“You might want to let up on the guy’s neck. He’s turning blue.”

Macy loosened his grip but just enough for him to get air.

“How about we get one of the guys to take him in?” she asked.

“I’ll get them,” he said, took his phone out, and dialed.

Caden answered.

“Hey, I’ve got a weasel that needs to go to the sheriff.”

“Who?”

“That bastard from the elevator company.” Macy slammed the man against the wall a few times and growled.

“Hurry, Caden” she yelled. “He’s going to kill him.”

Macy scowled at her. “Come here, Little Sub.”

She walked to him, stood against his chest, and looked up at him.

“Remember when I said I wouldn’t do anything that would take me away from you, right?”

She nodded.

“You trust me.”

“One hundred percent,” she said with total conviction.

“Then you know I’d keep my word,” he said. He bent to kiss her, forgetting he was still holding the guy up against the wall.

He heard the digital lock disengage, and then Caden walked in.

“That little prick.” Caden looked at her. “Are you okay? Because if she’s not, the guys need something alive for target practice.”

The guy cried out and saw the wet stain on his jeans from where he had pissed.
