“It’s nice to meet you.”

“Drinks?” she says before gesturing for me to follow her.

We find everyone else in the kitchen, Stella and Emmie once again whipping up some potent cocktails.

“I’ve already had two of their slippery nipples. Pretty sure they took a layer of skin off my throat,” Alana jokes.

“Can’t say I’m surprised.”

I grab my cocktail and a beer for Alex and after a few minutes, everyone heads out, the music is turned up, and the party really gets started.

We dance, we drink, we strip down to our swimwear once more and mess about in the pool. It’s the perfect night full of incredible people.

At some point, two other guys join us and Nico introduces them as Reid’s boys.

I don’t think much of it until a little while later when I look up and find Alana lip locked with the slightly more friendly one of the two of them.

Elbowing Alex, I nod in their direction.

“I thought she was Reid’s girlfriend,” I whisper, although with the number of cocktails I’ve had, it doesn’t come out that quietly.

Nico hears and throws his head back on a laugh while Brianna simply states, “She is.”

Reid saunters over and lowers himself to a spare lounger, looking totally unfazed by the whole thing. Maybe he just hasn’t noticed, but that seems unlike him.

“Reid,” I say, the alcohol loosening my lips. “Isn’t that your girl over there kissing one of your boys?”

Twisting around, he watches them over his shoulder for a few seconds—long enough for the other, slightly older and scarier guy to join them. I gasp as he takes her head and leans in for a kiss of his own.

“Don’t worry; it freaked me out at first too, but you’ll soon get used to it.”

My lips open and close like a freaking goldfish as he turns back to watch.

I look at Alex and roll my eyes at the smirk on his face. Of course he’d be all over this.

I’m about to ask for an explanation when my phone starts buzzing in my pocket.

“It’s Blakely,” I say when I pull it free. “Do you mind?”

“Want me to come? Alex offers as I get up to find a quiet spot to talk to her.

“No, enjoy yourself. Find out about this…” I wiggle my finger between Reid and the others. “I need details.” He laughs as I walk away.

Swiping the screen, I stare down at my sister’s face. “Hey, don’t tell me, you already know about everything we’ve done?” I ask, aware that Zay will have pounced on her the second she got back.

“Yeah,” she agrees, but there’s not as much lightness in her tone as there is in mine.

I know it’s earlier there and that she probably hasn’t had multiple cocktails, but it’s unlike Blake to be so sombre.

“What’s wrong?” I ask, curling my legs beneath me as I sit in the middle of the huge corner sofa in the living room.

She stares at me through the screen for a few seconds, blinking away tears that are pooling in her eyes.

“Blake, what is it? Is everything okay?”

“I’m sorry,” she sobs. “I’m so sorry.”

My heart sinks into my feet.
