Chapter 16 Mia
“I need to sign a few things and then we’ll be out of here.” Max takes my hand as we exit the back of his town car. I give his driver Smith a smile. I know my cheeks are red because he saw me climbing all over Max last night. From the way things are looking I’m sure Smith and I both will get used to it. It seems as though it’s going to be a common occurrence.
I look up at the giant building. “Do you own this whole thing?” It’s a silly question as my eyes catch the sign that says Kennedy Tower.
“Yeah, but I only use the top few floors. The rest are either rented out to independent companies or ones that I’ve invested in.”
“Oh.” He isn’t rich; he is wealthy.
“I’m only popping in because the contract I need to sign is one that I promised I’d get done today. I don’t break promises.”
My fingers hold on to his tighter. “I don’t mind.”
“Then I’m yours for the rest of the day.” He guides me inside. “Most of the staff won’t even be in yet.” He ushers me onto the elevator, hitting the button for the top floor. “Mark, my assistant, usually beats everyone in but I think he’s still feeling under the weather.”
“Is he okay?” We step out of the elevator.
“He got into a little quarrel with Kim. That doesn't tend to end well for her opponents. She’s crafty. I’ve learned how to handle her better than most,” he says with a small laugh. I smile, enjoying how when he talks about his sister he always smiles. When he talks about his nephews his whole face lights up. It gives me hope that he’s a family man. I’d do well to remember not to fight with Kim. So far I’ve seen her put out a debt of six million dollars against her brother and now she’s done something to keep his assistant out for the day. No wonder she is Amelia’s friend. You know what they say, birds of a feather and all.
Mrs. Brenner may have been on to something when she said I should look for a new job. She could see that I was more of a people person and should be out among them instead of being stuck in some cubicle. The truth is that I think I’ve been waiting. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but now that I have Max, I can’t stop thinking about having a family. I remember seeing all the other families growing up. They were all so different from mine. Other kids had moms and dads who showed up to everything and enjoyed being a part of their lives.
“He’s normally here.” He taps on a desk that sits right outside two giant double doors. He pulls one open, motioning for me to enter.
“This is giant.” I look around his office. One wall is lined with TVs with the stock markets and other numbers I don’t understand scrolling across them. His desk sits toward the back but off to the left in what looks to be a living room area. “You sleep here?”
“Sometimes I take a nap.” He shrugs, going around to his desk. How much does he work that he has to nap at his office? “Come here.” He motions for me to come to him. He sits in his chair, patting his lap. I stroll over toward him, sitting down.
“This is where we first met.” It’s laughable to think of Max having a debt against him. Does someone as rich as him even need credit? I’m guessing not. No wonder he didn't care if he did or didn't pay the collection.
“Mrs. Brenner did say I might be too friendly on my calls.”
He moves, sitting me on his desk. “You’re only this friendly with me.” He stands, pushing his chair back. “I didn’t get my breakfast.”
“You said you had to-” I stop when he starts pulling at my jeans. “Oh. Me?”
“Jesus, you’re fucking adorable.” He frees me of my panties and jeans. They go flying behind him.
My heart starts to race. “Can someone walk in?” He drops to his knees in front of me and I find I don’t care.
“Do you want me to stop?” he asks as he spreads my legs wide, his fingers digging into them. I moan when his warm breath tickles my clit. His short beard that he didn't shave this morning because I asked him not to brushes against my thighs.
“Never.” I lift my hips up, silently begging him to take me. He does. His tongue traces my clit slowly at first. I drop back onto his desk moaning his name. My hand digs into his hair as he licks and sucks at me. I’ve been on edge since I got out of bed this morning wanting us to crawl back into it. He said I needed time to heal. I think the temptation of being at his home was too much. It’s why he had us out the door so early this morning. He knew that we would’ve ended up right back in bed.
“Angel.” He groans against me, sucking my clit into his mouth, sending me over the edge. I cry out his name again. My legs fall from his shoulders as the orgasm takes over. The pleasure courses through my body. I don’t know how he does this to me.
I let out a small sigh as I feel him move. I’m not sure I can get up right now. My eyes flutter open instantly, going wide when I see what he’s doing. He’s got his slacks undone as he jacks himself off. His eyes are focused between my legs as he strokes himself. I watch him, unable to look away. He grunts my name as his hot cum shoots from his cock onto me. It’s warm and sticky. It dawns on me that this is the first time I’ve really seen it. Every time we’ve made love before he came inside of me. He never wore a condom or even mentioned protection. Maybe that’s something that he and I should discuss but we can do that later.
I suck in a breath as he rubs his cum into me. He takes his time coating my clit with it. My legs jerk since my whole body is still sensitive from the orgasm he’d given me. He licks his lips as he puts his cock away. I lick mine too, wondering what he tastes like.
A knock on his door has me jumping back to reality. I almost fall off his desk but of course Max saves me.
“Do not enter and get the hell away from my door,” he barks at whoever is on the other side of the door. His voice drops to a soft and sweet tone when he looks down at me. “Best breakfast I’ve ever had.” I can feel myself blush but I don’t care. I tilt my head back for a kiss. He gives me one while his hand squeezes my bare bottom.
“Damn it.” I smack his chest. “You keep making me forget I’m naked.” I try and hiss at him but my words come out all breathy. He’s the world’s biggest distraction. He’s also adorably handsome and so hard to be mad at.
His phone starts ringing on his desk. His eyes flick to it. “You going to answer that?” I ask as I step toward my pants.
“It shouldn't be ringing.” He hits the button to answer the call. “Unless it’s my sister,” he adds.
