She laughed and clutched his shoulders. “Trig!”

He chuckled and set her on her feet. “I’m proud of you, really I am.”

“Thank you.”

His hands slid from her upper arms, to her shoulders, up the column of her neck to cup her face. “Damn it.” He frowned.

“What?”

“I told myself…” His expression was deadly serious.

“What?”

“I told myself I wouldn’t ask you this, but it’s been stuck in my head.”

“Stuck in your head?”

“Yes.” He paused, his eyes narrowed. “Yesterday, when you said our night together didn’t mean anything…I was wondering if—”

“I never thought I’d see you again.” She stared into his eyes. “I wanted to, would have happily given you my number, but you didn’t want it.”

“I did…but…”

“But what?”

“But I was on a flight six hours after I left you to what could only be described as Hell on Earth. What would have been the point?”

“I could have written, text, called. Or whatever communications you can do out there.”

His lips twitched as though almost wanting to smile. “So you had fun that night we had together.”

“You know I did. Just like I know you did.”

“Hell yeah.” He swallowed, then swiped his tongue over his bottom lip. “You were a wildcat.”

Her attention was drawn to his mouth. “Wildcat?”

“Mmm.” He dipped his head, spoke quieter. “And now you belong to my brothers.”

“I guess that’s true.”

“Do you love them?”

“Yes.” She didn’t hesitate. Her feelings for Parker and Hugh were strong and sure.

“You think you could love me, too?”

“What?”

“You heard.” His voice was a low murmur.

“But what would they think if we…I mean, I know we did once…but…”

“If we…?”

She gulped, her pussy clenching, her skin heating. “Fucked. What if we fucked?”
