Page 6 of Walker

I laugh and move over weaving my arm through hers. “Just don’t let me get taken by a scary man and I’ll be fine.”

Darren moves to the other side of me. “You’re safe with me.” He winks at me and I look down at the ground smiling. “Thank you, Darren.”

Walker makes himself known by stepping directly in front of me. “I would protect you with my life, darlin.”

I look from Walker to Darren, both are unfazed by what each other said, their attention just on me and my face is red from their attention.

“Thank you both.” I put my hand on Walker’s forearm and then Darren’s. One of the workers comes up to us with a flashlight looking at our wristbands as the tractor comes to a stop.

“GET ON!” an evil voice says banging the side of the tractor to get our attention. I cringe and follow Lynn and Tristan. Tristan helps Lynn onto the ride and then me.

I sit down with Walker sitting down on one side of me, which I’m thankful for because I don't want to be snatched off the ride.

The ride starts and I feel sick suddenly, I don’t think this was a good idea at all. I look to Lynn to see if she is okay and she looks just as sick as I do.

I peek around behind me in the trees, keeping myself small so maybe they won’t even notice me.

Walker and Darren both are looking at me highly amused, it must be nice to be a fearless badass.

A chainsaw literally starts out of nowhere, then a figure comes out of nowhere jumping onto the ride right in front of me. I scream and hold my face. I can see the air from the chainsaw that is above my head.

Finally the chainsaw shuts off and I peek up to see Lynn is lying on the floor practically in Tristan’s lap.

“I will never make fun of you again.” I burst out laughing because I literally screamed at the top of my lungs.

The hayride stops and we’re all staring up at a huge barn. A scary looking man walks out of the barn with an axe. He grins at us and I cringe at the sight of his dirty, blackened teeth that stretch all the way up to his gums.

He lifts his arm and throws something at us. I watch in horror as it lands in my lap. I look down at the eyeball that is looking back at me then at the man who threw it at me. He points his finger, curling it in a come-hither motion.

HELL NO! NOPE! NO WAY! I’m not being one of those girls that gets killed in one of these because I was too stupid to just leave and go home. I flick the eyeball off my lap, watching as it rolls down the ride. I grip Lynn hard. “Maybe we should just head back?” I suggest.

“GET OFF THE RIDE!” the guy driving yells, turning to look at us.

Walker steps off the ride first, followed by me, Lynn, Darren, and Tristan pulling up the rear.

The Jeepers Creepers guy is walking toward us. Lynn and I look down at the ground and at Walker’s back not wanting to make eye contact.

I hold onto Lynn’s hand pulling her along with me and grip the back of Darren’s shirt so he doesn’t run off and leave me.

Jeepers Creepers slips in between Lynn and I, making me lose my grip on her. I let go of Darren so I can stop and wait for her.

“Come on darlin, they’ll catch up.” Darren and Walker pull me in between them and we move a little down the hill and stop to wait on them.

The Jeepers Creepers guy is standing right in front of Lynn and Tristan is pissed. Walker puts his hand on my back, all of us watching the scene.

He bends closer into Lynn’s face and screams at the top of his lungs.

What the fuck?

Walker steps in front of me as Tristan pushes the guy away from Lynn. He spins around and his eyes widen when he looks at me. His looks at me with such anger and hate that it takes my breath away.

Darren hides me from his view and Lynn drags Tristan toward us. I grip Walker’s shirt scared, this man is taking his job a little too seriously. “What the fuck was his problem?” I take Lynn’s hand when I see that he is still staring at me weirdly.

The guys gather us in the middle and we hurry on down the trail. We can see him running through the woods further up the trail.

“I think that fucker has small penis syndrome,” I hear Lynn whispering under her breath. I burst out laughing at her words not expecting it, but she is not lying. He obviously has some issues.

I’m so deep in my thoughts that when a person jumps out from behind a tree, I scream and cover my eyes.
