“I’m going to get ready.”

Walker
We watch her walk upstairs holding that vest like it’s her fucking lifeline.
Hell, she is my lifeline. “We are so fucked,” Darren tells me as he takes the plate to the sink.
I laugh. “Right up the ass.”
He laughs with me. “Shit, if this is ass fucking, I will take it anyway.”
I eye him. “Now brother, I know you got up and personal last night,” I start but he punches my shoulder, hard. “Shut the fuck up, you grabbed my ass last night in my sleep,” he tells me.
“The fuck I did.” I huff.
His face turns serious. “How the fuck did we get so lucky? I don’t know what the fuck I did to deserve that angel.”
I nod my head in agreement. “I’m thinking the same thing, but we are selfish bastards and we’ll do whatever it takes to keep her and keep her out of harm’s way.”
“Fuck yeah I will.” He smiles. “Reckon last night we got her knocked up?”
I laugh. “I sure as fuck hope so, we’ll keep her belly full of babies and she won’t think of leaving.”
He smacks my shoulder. “Good fucking plan, brother.”

Summer

The night air is cool, but it’s so refreshing as I ride on the back of Darren's bike, my hands on his thighs, Walker right beside us.
The second I slid this cut on, I knew that it was meant to be mine; I found my place in life.
The bar is packed full to the brim with bikes when we pull in. I see Tristan's bike and I get excited to see Lynn. So much has happened in our lives since we last saw each other.
Walker lifts me off Darren’s bike and both hold my hands as we walk inside the bar.
The air is smoky from people smoking, the lights are dimmed and the lights from the signs on the wall give a neon soft glow. I see a bunch of guys wearing cuts to the right of the room. Walker notices and leads us in that direction.
I spot Lynn toward the back of the crowd. She runs to me and pulls me into a hug, pulling the guys hands out of mine.
“How’s my grandbaby, Lynn?” Walker asks Lynn.
Lynn smiles widely. “She’s good, really good. She’s wanting to come spend the night with her poppa bear.”
I love that she calls him that. I have seen them together and he has a such soft side for those he cares about. It's such an attractive quality. Darren is just as amazing as Walker when it comes to her.
It's an exploding ovary overload with those two around.
“Summer, I want to introduce you.” Walker takes my hand taking me through everyone there. Lane, Wilder, Travis, Maverick, Konrad, Aidenn. So many more that it will take me forever to remember their names.
“This is my daughter, Joslyn,” he introduces me to his daughter.
I smile at her. “It's so nice to meet you. You’re gorgeous,” I tell her honestly; she looks a lot like Walker.
