Hey Jana,

I really appreciate the emails and having someone to talk to. We get bored out here sometimes and it’s just nice to have a friend. I can’t wait to meet you in person so we can talk some more – and I’m really happy for your brother and Karen.

 See you soon,

 John ‘X-Ray’ Masden

P.S. – I ordered a romance book and I’m going to get crucified by the other guys on the team. I hope I can take off the dust jacket, or maybe hide it in another book.

Am I that bad at talking to girls?

 Hey-a X-Ray…

This will be so cool to meet my online friend.

Yeah, I’m thrilled for my brother and Karen. He’s completely ga-ga over the woman and she’s truly a sweetheart. I’m here in Yonder already, making enough bows, swag, and ribbons to make Santa Claus envious at his workshop.

I think Karen wants some sort of décor on every little piece of furniture or something. I’ve twisted enough floral wire to make my fingers hurt and burnt myself on a hot glue gun more than I can count… but it’s all good.

The romance book will only help you reach girls and see what they like… besides, what can it hurt?

Set aside a dance at the reception for me, friend!

 See you soon,

 Jana

P.S. I’ve told you – you don’t have to be so formal dude. We’re buddies! I promise, if you don’t sign your entire name… I will still know who the email is from.

 Dear Jana,

You can have that dance… and I know, but old habits die hard. It just feels weird, almost too casual, to send an email without it.

Bear with me, while I revert back to civilian life.

By the way – are all romance books like that? I swear, I’m blushing. No wonder people read them all the time… and people tease men for looking at Playboys??

 Sincerely,

 X-Ray

 Vast improvement, bro… LOL.

Keep reading – and no, they aren’t all like that.

 See ya soon!

 Jana
