“No, Adrian,” I said. “Britt… ismine.”

CHAPTERFORTY-ONE

Britt

Mine to claim.Mine to mark. Mine to mate.

His words rang in my ears as he followed me down the hallway.

“Now?” I’d said, letting go of Adrian’s hand. He’d smiled at me, and pulled Beau in close.

“Now,” Conall had snarled, and my breath had caught in my throat as he’d stepped closer to me, closer still, my breasts pushing against his firm chest. I didn’t back down, even as his hand wrapped around my jaw, tilting my face up, and his lips crashed into mine.

How could I be frightened of this,I thought, when it felt so right?I opened my mouth, and his tongue swept through my mouth. I moaned, my knees going weak. Did he taste Adrian there?

“Britt,” he murmured, his lips leaving mine with a soft sound, but his hand still tight on my jaw. “You want this? Tell me you want this.”

“I want it, Conall,” I gasped, and before I’d even finished, he’d lifted me effortlessly, my legs wrapping around his waist, and carried me down the hallway. He kicked open a door, and I found myself staring at an unfamiliar bedroom, decorated in shades of grey and cream. “Is this Adrian’s room?” I asked, but Conall shook his head.

“It’s yours.”

“I told you, baby,” came Adrian’s voice from the doorway. “This has always, alwaysbeen your pack. We didn’t realize it, but...”

“I’ve been waiting for you,” Beau said, and stalked into the room. The way he moved made my mouth water.

He wasn’t prey, not any more than his two alphas.

Just a different kind of predator.

He crawled up onto the bed, settling back against the pillows, and tilted his head, nodding slightly at his lap. “Come.”

“Oh, she will,” Adrian said, and Beau smirked.

I paused at the side of the bed, hesitating for only a moment before I made up my mind.

“I want to do this right,” I said, and the last thing I saw before I pulled my shirt up and over my head was Beau’s satisfied smile.

“Fuck,” swore Adrian, and I smirked as I shimmied down my jeans, revealing the panties that matched the bra.Charcoal grey lace.

“You told me you weren’t like the other packs, Conall,” I said, and crawled onto the bed myself, settling in Beau’s lap. “But I don’t know a lot ofroommateswho buy each other’s girlfriends lingerie, do you?”

“This is from them? I didn’t know,” he growled, but a knowing smile flickered around Adrian’s lips. Soon, I wouldn’t need to read his packmates to know how he was feeling.I leaned against Beau’s firm chest, and his hands came up to rest on my hips, his thumbs working up and down into the curve of my waist. Conall’s eyes never left mine.

“I want you, Conall,” I repeated. “I want you. All of you. I want the man you were, and the alpha you will be. And I want your pack. I want to be a part of you, like they are, and a part of them, like you are to them.”

“No, baby,” Beau purred. His lips brushed against my ear, making me shiver as he whispered, “You won’t be like them. You’ll beyou.”

I nodded.

“Tell me what you want, Conall,” I said, and his eyes flashed gold.

“It’s always been you, Britt.”

And then he was there, his shirt shed, his skin against mine, and I was pinned against Beau as Conall trailed first his nose, then his tongue from my earlobe, Beau whisperingyes, alpha, down the column of my throat, down the valley between my breasts, his hands coming up to press them together. I gasped, the soft lace rough against my stiff nipples, and then his mouth was trailing lower still, to my belly, my navel, swirling around and around it before he landed a soft kiss just below. My eyes fluttered shut.

“You know what this means, right, Britt?” he asked, his voice rough. “Once you’re ours, there’s no turning back. You’ll belong to the pack. Our children,” he said, and my heart thumped against my ribcage, “our children will belong to the pack.”

I nodded, not trusting myself to speak, but Beau’s firm voice in my ear said, “Words, baby, I want to hear you say it, or have you already forgotten—”
