I would give him whatever he wanted or needed.
He was mine now.
Mine to take care of and protect.
Mine, just mine.
Kellen
I would have loved to have left our conversation there and waited until I saw him again but I couldn’t.
I had to know why.
Why he did what he did.
“Why did you do it?”
He immediately stepped away and shoved his hands into his pockets while looking at the floor.
“I never do this, I never apologise, but for you I will.”
That’s when he looked up and into my eyes.
“I fucked up, Kellen. I’m sorry I disappeared on you but the way I felt about you made me damned nervous. I’m not good with being nervous. For my own peace of mind I have to be in charge and in control. There’s shit in my past that I will share once we’re more settled into who we are together. For now I need you to give up control to me when I ask.”
He was an inch or two taller than me which made it easier to look into his eyes. I couldn’t just agree with what he asked of me. I needed to let him know how I felt.
“I hated how you made me feel. It was as if I was some tart you picked up in a bar and had a quick fuck with before disappearing never to be seen again.”
Clasping his hands around my neck he drew me towards him and rested his forehead against mine. His eyes were closed and he had a look of regret on his face. I closed my eyes as well, sighed softly and put my hands around his neck, just holding on.
“It will never happen again, Kell. I swear to you. I will never walk away without waking you or leaving you a note.”
What more could a man ask? I was sure he was giving me more than he ever gave to his previous lovers.
“Okay, apology accepted.” Turning my arm slightly I looked at my watch and realised that I had to get to the airport.
“I have to get going or I’m going to miss my flight.”
He gave me a sly little smile as he stepped back.
“No need. I had your booking cancelled. You’re flying back with me on the company jet.” He winked. “Just think, no queues, no waiting for baggage and two hours of undisturbed time to spend getting to know each other.”
I slowly shook my head in disbelief. “That right there is stepping over the line. It’s something you should have discussed with me first.”
An eyebrow went up, a silent warning.
“I know, but you would have said no, so I took that option away and instead gave you a done deal.” He gave a nonchalant shrug. “You’re going to have to get used to me being a controlling bastard, Kell, it’s who I am. And talking about controlling…we need to discuss my club when we get back to Cape Town.”
I opened my mouth to question him but he place a finger against my lips.
“Not here, not now, but I promise once we’re back home we’ll talk about it.”
I had to be content with that. I would be, but only for now. I would allow some control but I wasn’t a submissive, not sexually and not in my day to day life either.
Taking my hand he drew me out of the office and we walked out to the whistles and clapping of the men and women. I felt my cheeks turning red with an uncontrollable blush.
“Now I have to go home and give my girl a going over. Those sounds made me hot as hell.” One of the bikers joked with a huge smile.
