“Come,” he commanded, but as we got close to the door, I took my hand from him. I had to think of something fast, a good excuse. I could not jump out of this tree and fall flat on my face. What if I embarrass myself and can only fly in a circle like a rabid dog?
“Darling?” Osirus’s voice became worried, but with the split second of a plan I had concocted in my head, I knew this would save the day.
“But what if I want to do something else? Daddy?” I whispered lowly. Osirus took a few steps toward me.
“Do you now?” His nose traced my jaw as his hot breath cascaded down my neck. “Are you sure?” His mouth connected to my neck as he sucked, causing my legs to become weak. His body pressed up against me as I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I think you just want to get out of your lessons.” His teeth nipped at my ear as I let a moan slip.
Feeling bold, I lowered my hand to feel the bulge in his pants. “But isn’t Daddy supposed to take care of his baby?” Osirus groaned as his hand slipped under my shirt to feel my breast, squeezing it harshly. I let out a squeak and his mouth consumed me. His tongue explored mine as I reached in his pants to hold on to his dick tightly. Groaning, he bit down on my lip hard, causing it to bleed. My little yip caused him to pause and look into my eyes.
“You are being naughty and not listening to your daddy.” Osirus pressed his cock to the outside of my clothes. Too many clothes were between us, and my panting subsided.
“Daddy, my princess parts are tingling,” I whined, half giggling as he slapped my pussy. Immediately, I could feel the slick run between my legs. “Please, Daddy!” I whined again now more needy as I gripped his tunic. Before he could slam me to the bed, we heard a woman scream in a singsong voice.
“Osirus! Are you up there!?” She paused while I looked at Osirus harshly. It better have not been one of his past lovers. I didn’t care if I forgave him. I didn’t need to see any of the sluts. Jealousy was already consuming me as I felt my teeth start to itch.
“There are rumors in the trees you have been here! Get down here before I come up and break down the door!”
Chapter Forty-Six
Melina
Myteethwereitching. It was the strangest feeling, an overwhelming desire to kill whatever woman was down there. I could feel my wings growing agitated as a large scowl landed on my face.
“Who is that?” I growled at Osirus, who stood to look at me in shock. His hand went out to grab me, but I slapped it away. The fury running through my veins had taken over because I ran out the door before he answered. Then, not even thinking, I jumped off the broken porch facade of a treehouse and fluttered to the ground.
As I landed, I put one hand out to steady myself. If only Tulip could see me now. I looked like freaking Iron Man about to blow up the terrorists.
The woman before me was beautiful, with long blonde hair with bright green eyes. She had similar features to the fae, but one could tell easily she was an elf. The Elven people had slightly deeper skin than the fae, and their ears were not as pointed. The way she dressed was also different as she wore tight clothes that resembled leaves that wrapped around her body like a second skin.
The woman’s breath hitched and looked at me in horror. “I am so sorry. I thought Osirus was up there. I didn’t mean to disturb you!” Her voice stuttered as she backed away from me.
“Oh, he is up there all right.” My wings jolted me forward as I grabbed her by the neck and pinned her to the tree. I felt Osirus’s presence as he grabbed my shoulder. My body instantly relaxed as he kissed my mark.
“Darling, let her go and let me explain.” His voice was as smooth as the first time I heard him speak those weeks ago. It calmed me as my teeth tingled once more and were no longer sharp. My grip lessened, but not enough to let go.
“Who are you?” I growled at her. The fear in her eyes was clear. She dared not look at Osirus, only at me, the one whose life I was now holding.
“I’m Lura. Osirus’s cousin!” she tried to speak, but it came out small and meek. My face of anger quickly went to embarrassment as I let her go. Lura started coughing, grabbing her throat, and I tried to help her up.
“I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came over me! I’ve never hurt anyone. I’m so sorry!” My words came out rushed, while Osirus and Lura started laughing at my apology.
“It’s all right!” She waved her hand around. “I should have been more careful. I heard he had yet to complete the bond with you, and from the looks of it, you haven’t marked him yet, so of course you would be overprotective. It’s normal!” I held my breath. I was so insanely jealous I was about to kill someone. My eyes went glassy, only for Osirus to shush me and pull me to his chest.
“Darling, it is all right. It is normal.” He kissed my forehead, but the feeling of disappointment in myself was still there. Something else controlled my body, and I didn’t like it. “You are both siren and fae, you will have trouble battling both, but you will get the hang of it with your emotions. I just need you to mark me before we head back to the palace, so you don’t kill anyone.” He laughed again. I cringed as he spoke about killing someone.
“Anyway,” Lura said as she tried to break the tension, “we are starting a large feast and wanted to know if you both would like to join? It’s actually in honor of the new kingdom.” My stomach immediately growled at the thought of food. It had been almost four days since I had eaten anything.
“Think that answers your question. Lead the way, Lura.” Osirus put his hand on the small of my back and we followed her through the forest. The trees were dense and not much sunlight reached the floor. Several animals scurried away as they heard us coming down the path.
“Father will be pleased to see you. He’s so proud of you, Osirus. Being able to not only stand up to the Fae Court but also to your own family. That took some real guts,” Lura spoke.
“I only did what was best for the country. It’s my job after all.” Osirus smiled at me and kissed the temple of my head.
We traveled for twenty minutes and made small talk; Lura was his cousin on his mother’s side. His Uncle Zaos was the eldest of his mother’s siblings that was mated to an Elven woman named Annabelle and moved to the Elven tribe when they met some six hundred years ago. Osirus often would escape his father’s etiquette lessons and find himself among the elves and played with Lura as she grew. She was the sister that Osirus never had, and he had a soft spot for her.
Lura was very sore with Osirus, not mentioning to her we would stay in their old treehouse. Osirus had to explain it was time for him and me to have some alone time and she immediately understood.
“Everyone will be so excited to see you! The entire group!” Lura spoke wildly, and Osirus scratched his neck nervously.
