“Hello?”

Brie’s heart began to race when she heard the deep richness of his voice. “Master Nosh, this is Brianna Davis.”

“I am busy at the moment, Mrs. Davis. What do you require?”

“I promise to keep it brief. You mentioned once that you were open to doing an interview with me. I wondered if we could schedule a time to meet. At your earliest convenience, of course.”

He was silent for a moment.

Sweat started beading on her forehead as she waited for the head trainer’s answer.

“Convenience is relative, Mrs. Davis,” he stated, sounding slightly amused. “Although my schedule is booked up, I will have my secretary look at my calendar and contact you later.”

“Thank you, Master Nosh,” Brie squeaked before hanging up.

Lying back on the bed, Brie looked up at the ceiling and grinned. Although Master Nosh made her overly nervous due to his serious nature, the time she’d spent with him and his wife Nenove had shown Brie another side of the trainer that she admired and could relate to. It was because of their time together that she’d finally been brave enough to call him to schedule an interview. It just went to show that first impressions were only a snapshot of an individual.

Brie not only hoped to do justice with the interview she had planned for the revered head trainer of the Dominant Training Program but that she’d be able to reveal that other side of him to the audience, so they would come to understand the extraordinary man behind the serious exterior.

In her interviews with both Marquis Gray and Ms. Clark, Brie included a scene that displayed their skill as a Dominant. She hoped that Master Nosh would agree todo one as well, and she was super curious which instrument he would use.

Because he was so exceedingly private, Brie knew very little personally about the man, but this unique opportunity was about to change that. She felt incredibly lucky to have a career that allowed her to not only showcase the lifestyle she was passionate about but to also introduce someone like Master Nosh to the world—a man who possessed incredible skill and insight.

When Brie thought back on her first day at the Submissive Training Center, she knew that young woman would never have believed how far she would come as a submissive and as a filmmaker in Hollywood.

Brie smiled, imagining she was speaking to herself as she took a seat in Mr. Gallant’s classroom on that first day.

“I’m so incredibly proud of you.”

That evening, just as the sun was beginning to set, Brie headed to the kitchen to grab a snack and got the fright of her life. Out of the corner of her eye she caught a dark figure lurking at the back door, his image framed in the etched glass. Screaming in fear, she cried, “Sir!”

He burst out of his office. “Are you okay?”

She pointed at the door just as the person knocked.

Sir cautiously headed toward the door and then broke out in relieved laughter, telling Brie, “It’s only Wallace.”

She grasped her chest, willing her racing heart to slow down. “Thank goodness! I was afraid it might be…” She couldn’t finish the thought.

Opening the backdoor, Sir said sternly, “You almost scared Brie to death.”

Faelan wore a troubled expression on his face and Brie saw he was clutching a small white envelope in his hand. Sweeping back his hair nervously, he looked at Brie apologetically. “You mentioned I could visit when I come to the beach to watch the sunset.”

She nodded, taking several deep breaths to calm herself. “That’s right! I certainly did.”

Addressing Sir, he asked, “May I come in, Sir Davis?”

Sir stepped back, gesturing for him to enter. After shutting the door, Sir asked him, “Is everything okay?”

He looked down at the letter in his hand and answered simply, “No.”

Based on his odd behavior, Brie wondered if Kylie’s parents were demanding custodial rights again. Concerned for him, she suggested he sit down in the living room.

“Where’s your daughter?” Brie asked in concern.

“Mary’s watching her,” he muttered as he took a seat on the sofa.

When Faelan looked up at her, he looked completely devastated.
