“Will you keep it down?” Damon growls from my lap. “Some of us are trying to catch a nap over here.”

Julian shoots an annoyed look at him.

I press a hand to my mouth to stop the chuckles bubbling inside me. They were all being a bunch of goofy weirdos and I was helplessly falling deeper in love with them.

Over the past week, my bedroom has become the central hub for all our meetings. Everyone seems to love spending their free hours here. The large bed also comes in handy when they want to sleep right next to me.

I’m grateful to both Caleb and Julian for setting up this room for me. The décor and comfortable furniture make me feel at home. Seeing familiar items like my old cushions, blankets, and Kindle is amazingly comforting.

The presence of my mates makes it the perfect nest.

“You need to relax and get some sleep,” Julian says in a grim tone. “It’s already late enough.”

“There’s still so much to go over,” Caleb says with a hint of a whine. “I’m fucking going on a vacation once this event is over.”

“You say the same shit every week and we never go anywhere,” Julian mutters with a roll of his eyes.

“Everything’s got to be perfect,” Raiden says from the desk. Dropping his glasses on the table, he rises to his feet and stretches his arms. “I think it’s best I go to the admin office in the dorm building and finish up the rest of my paperwork. There’s no point in sleeping tonight because practice drills start at dawn.”

“It’s going to be a hectic day tomorrow,” I say, feeling worried. “You should rest for a few hours at least.”

“I will,” says Raiden, flashing me a grin. “But I can’t let myself get too comfortable or I’ll end up sleeping through the morning.”

A frown twists my lips.

I hate how much they all have to work every single day. People think it’s easy to be in a position of power when you’re an alpha but being with Caleb and his brothers has shown me how hard it is.

Even if you’re blessed with the physical attributes of an alpha, you’ve still got to work hard enough to earn your subordinate’s respect. I finally understand why the young beta soldiers are ready to lay down their lives for the pack.

“At least, he got some food in him,” Julian says, his frown matching mine.

“Thanks for the pizza party,” Raiden says, kneeling beside Julian. The tender look on his handsome face sends my heart racing. He leans in and captures Julian’s lips in a kiss.

I stare at them unblinkingly.

Julian’s still sitting on Caleb’s lap while he’s being kissed by Raiden.

A throb erupts in my core. My tongue darts out to wet my lips as I desperately struggle to contain my arousal.

The air soon grows thick with the fragrance of roses and raspberries.

A pair of amber eyes stare up at me. “Wildcat,” he groans in a low voice.

I start counting backward to distract my lust-crazed hormones. My alphas are too busy to be dealing with my insatiable pussy tonight.

“There’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you,” I say before Raiden leaves the room.

“What’s up?” Caleb asks, putting his iPad down.

Julian and Raiden look up at me as well.

“I was wondering if it’d be okay to invite Ethan to the event tomorrow,” I say. “Since it’s been too risky to go out, how about I meet him here?”

“Ethan?” Raiden says with a confused look.

“He’s the guy she used to work for,” Caleb mutters with an annoyed expression. “Why do you want to see him, love?” he asks, focusing his attention on me.

“It’s been too long since I’ve met him,” I say. “I miss my friend.”
