"You see where he went?"
The bartender looks around. "Over there, other side of the dance floor."
"He slipped something in Audra's drink. I'm sure you'll see it when you view the security footage. I want him held by security, and I expect the police and an ambulance to be here in the next five minutes," I demand.
"Derrick… I'm not feeling well."
"I got you."
"What's going on?" Mark asks.
"The guy security is walking out with drugged Audra," I tell him just as Audra's roommate and Jamie come walking up.
"What happened?" the blonde asks.
"She was drugged," Mark informs her.
"Oh my God. What can we do? Call an ambulance!" she orders, teetering on her heels.
"Calm down, Sparky," Mark tells her. "Already done."
"Sparky?" she asks with a glare. "For your information it's Shannon and I'm Audra's roommate."
"Audra's very drunk roommate. Do you know the guy buying you drinks?" Mark asks.
"Just so happens, I do. I don't normally drink this much, but Audra…"
Jamie rests a hand on Shannon's shoulder. "Audra was going to be the sober one."
"Not anymore. Let's get her out of here," I tell Mark when Alex makes his way over.
"What? No!" Shannon argues. "You can't just take her."
"I can and I will."
"But—"
"Look," I begin, "you've had too much to drink and she's going to need someone to take care of her. I've had two drinks all night."
"But—" she begins again.
"No buts. I'm her employer. I'm not going to do anything to her but make sure she's comfortable and doesn't need further medical attention—after she gets checked out at the ambulance."
She huffs, knowing I'm right.
"I expect texts. Lots and lots of texts," Shannon demands. Mark exchanges phone numbers with her.
"She's in good hands," Alex tells them when I carry a very immobile Audra out of The Vault.
"I'm drunk?" she asks.
"No, sugar, you've been drugged," I tell her.
"Hospital…"
"The medics will take a look at you. Then I'll take you home," I tell her.
"So tired. Bed sounds good."
