“Since Sophia came back last night. She had my kid, and I didn’t know,” I hissed, still angry even though I was to blame.

“No shit, congratulations, brother,” Fuse said.

I looked at Shadow. “Did you know?” I didn’t want to think he would keep something like this from me.

“I knew Sophia had a kid. I didn’t know it was yours. Silver never mentioned who the father was. I was as shocked as you to see a Lord miniature run across the room,” Shadow replied, and I believed him. Silver would never acknowledge me as the father. He would rather kill me.

“We all were,” Stonewall said.

“Listen, Lord, I have no problem with you working at The Unlimited, but you should know Sophia will be working there. Silver asked me to hire her; she has the experience, so it was a no-brainer. Are you going to be okay with it?” Viking asked, watching me closely.

I would not look like I gave a fuck about Sophia. “I’m fine with it. I don’t have any feelings left for Sophia. She is the mother of my daughter, nothing more,” I said, and judging by you’re full of-shit looks and raised eyebrows, I wasn’t convincing. When I dated Sophia, all of these men were around, so they knew how deep my feelings went.

“That’s good because Lettie has it in her head to find Sophia a man, so I’m glad to hear you’re over her,” King said with a smirk.

I schooled my features. “Hopefully, Lettie will be successful.” But inside, I was fuming and had no right to be. But, the thought of having to watch Sophia with other men made me rage, just like in the video.

“Fine, you can work at The Unlimited. Vampire can have Domino,” Viking agreed but didn’t look convinced.

“Just make sure it’s alright with Domino before making the change. We have a run coming up to Florida next month, and it will be a two-week stint. Runner has already volunteered, and I’ll pick three others to go; Patch is sending four brothers from his chapter. Just a heads up” Shadow went on to talk about regular business matters before ending the meeting. “Does anyone else have any business to bring to the table?” Shadow waited. “Meeting adjourned.”

I walked out toward the kitchen. I was hungry, and I wanted to see Rowena. On the other hand, I was nervous getting ready to meet a two-year-old, for fucks sake. How do you prepare for this? I decided just to go in and get it done. I wanted to know my little girl, and I damn well was not wasting another minute.

DAD WATCHED ROEwhile I got us some breakfast. I looked over to see dad play with Roe and realized how much I had missed him. My dad was the definition of a silver fox even before he was old enough to be one. My whole life, dad, has had long silver hair, a mustache and beard, and silver blue eyes, and he defined the biker persona to a tee with his fit body and dress. My mom was a one-night stand, but dad stepped up, and even though they weren’t together, he was one hell of a dad growing up. And I’m glad to see him settling down with Jane; I always knew he had a thing for the small, dark-haired woman.

I took the food tray to the table and sat next to dad, with Mary and Summer across from us, who I had met last night. Both seemed really nice. To say I was surprised Shadow was married is an understatement; I always remember him being angry and alone every time I came to the clubhouse. I never started coming around until I was twenty-one after mom died; she never liked me hanging around here. Jax, the old president, ran a wild club, and she disapproved.

“Time to eat, Roe,” I said, setting up her cereal and juice and bringing her onto my lap. I had just got her settled when the seat beside me was taken, and I knew by smell it was Rowen; he still smelled the same, Sandalwood and leather.

Roe loved people and was not bashful, so when she saw Rowen, she automatically wanted to talk to him. I had already explained to her that this was her dad, so she was not hesitant to let him know. “You, my daddy, mommy said so,” Roe informed him with a smile. She was excited when I told her last night and showed her his picture, one I kept on my phone, too weak to delete.

Rowen gave her a soft smile. “That’s right. I am your daddy. You want to sit on my lap and eat your breakfast so we can talk?” Rowan asked her, already taking her off my lap, leaning into me, causing my heart to flutter with awareness of him. God, how could I still be so attracted to this man when he hurt me as he did. I scooted Roe’s food over in front of Rowen as he talked quietly to her while she babbled and ate her cereal. I chatted with dad letting them have their time.

And thenshesat across from Rowen. What did Lettie say? Was her name Jen? She looked over at me, giving me a smirk. What’s with this bitch? If she wants Rowen, she can have him; it’s not like we’re together. On the other hand, I did feel some satisfaction when Rowen didn’t even look at her as he talked with Roe. Jen’s smile fell slightly at that, but then she said, “She is so pretty, Lord; she looks so much like you.” And her smile fell completely when he mumbled a distracted thanks, his full attention on Rowena and her chatter.

Lettie pushed between Mary and Summer and side-eyed Rowen as he helped Roe eat. And I knew she was up to something. “Sophia, do you want to go on the ride today?” Lettie asked, a mischievous smile on her face. “Wrath said you could ride on the back of his bike.” I felt Rowen stiffen beside me at her words.

“I’d love to, but I have Roe,” I answered, noticing Rowen was paying attention to the conversation. I had met Wrath last night, and he was my age, cute, with blond hair, baby blue eyes, and a hard body.

“If you trust me, I would love to watch Rowena for you. I’m too far into my pregnancy, so Shadow and I are not going,” Mary said, playing right into Lettie’s hands, causing that one to smile even bigger.

Rowen cleared his throat, drawing our attention to him. “Actually, I had planned to take Rowena to the new park in town.” Roe, who was listening, clapped her hands in excitement at going to the park. “And since she is still getting to know me, I think it’s best if Sophia comes along so if Rowena has any issues, she is there to help.”

“Yay, we going to the park, mommy,” Roe babbled, sealing the deal. If I said no, Roe would be disappointed. And she did need to get to know Rowen, and he’s right; I should be there. Even though the jerk didn’t ask me or look at me as he spoke.

“Gee, Lord, way to give her notice. I will tell Wrath to give you a rain check on that ride, Sophia. I gave him your number; I hope you don’t mind,” Lettie smirked as she stood. “I’ll call you this evening, Sophia.” Lettie left to find King. I heard my dad chuckle beside me; he had been silent during the conversation.

“I will see you later, Sophia. I need to find Jane and get out front,” Dad said, leaning down to kiss my cheek and then doing the same to Roe before leaving to go on the ride today.

I turned to Rowen. “What time do you plan on going? Roe and I can meet you there.”

“I would prefer you ride with me. I want Rowena to get used to riding in my truck. And I need to buy a car seat for her, and I need your help with that; I don’t want to buy the wrong one,” Rowen said, again not meeting my eyes.

This was going to be a long day.

“Fine, what time?”

“Meet me in a half-hour out front.” Rowen kissed Roe and hugged her before handing her back to me and walking out, still never looking me in the face.
