I glare, eyeing her. “No?”
“I’ll be fine in a minute.” She clears her throat, flexing her fists to prove her point. “I need to go see Katherine.”
My nostrils flare and I tighten my hold on her, shaking my head. “No-”
“Call your Dad.” She orders, ignoring my anger. “Get whatever you need to get it done. We’re doing this now.”
“Baby-”
“I can do it, Damon.” She whispers, taking my face in her hands to hold my eyes with hers. “I can do it.”
I blink, feeling my heart rattle uncontrollably in my chest when I realize what she’s saying. “How?”
“I got an idea.” She licks her lips, looking between the five of us. “But I’m gonna need something visual to shake her up a bit and make it look real. One of you boys is gonna have to hit me.”
“Fuck that.”
“No fuckin’ way.”
“Are you crazy?”
“What the fuck, Callie?”
She smirks like a maniac, sliding her eyes to the only one of us who hasn’t said no. “You’ll do it, won’t you, gorgeous?”
“The fuck he will.” Wren snaps, shoving Levi’s ass when he just leans back and stares at her, amused.
I glare at him, speaking through my teeth. “You touch her, you’ll be leaving this room in a fuckin’ body bag. Don’t fuck with me, you little shit.”
He laughs lightly, lifting his hands in mock surrender. “Relax, man. I don’t hit girls.”
“Yeah, we know.” Kai mutters, laughing to himself when Wren smacks the back of his head.
Callie snorts and shakes her head at them, reaching into her pocket to pull out her phone. “Fuckin’ pussies.”
“What are you doing?”
“Calling someone with a pair of balls.” She jokes, lifting the phone to her ear. “Rach, I need a favor.”
Chapter 29
Callie
My knees bounce beneath me and I wait, not so patiently watching the numbers ascending on the wall above the doors.
Seventeen.. eighteen.. nineteen..
My face throbs like a motherfucker and my body still feels a little weak due to the drugs lingering around in my blood stream, but that’s not about to stop me.
I’m doing this.
I’m ending this.
For them.
For her.
For me.
