“Baby..” I rasp, struggling to pull air into my lungs. “What’d he do to you? Did he hurt you? Did he-”
“No.” She croaks out, unable to speak properly. “No, it’s okay. I’m okay.”
I lock my jaw and scan my eyes over her body to check for damage, only releasing the breath I was holding when I realize she’s still fully clothed and free of any cuts and bruises.
“Is he dead?”
My brows pull in and I look down at her, following her line of sight to the body on the floor, and it’s only now I notice all the boys moving around in here.
“No.” Wren sighs, flicking his wrist at the group of security guards in the corner. “Go get him an ambulance.”
“And keep this quiet.” Kai adds, scrubbing a hand over his face. “No one can find out about this. Got it?”
They nod and leave to go do as they’re told, then the twins turn to face the two boys being dragged across the room by Ryan and Levi.
“Callie..” Kai starts, cocking his head while he looks at the one I pinned in the lobby. “Are these the boys who drugged you and kidnapped you off the street? Bought you back to your own fuckin’ house like they thought they’d get away with such a thing?”
He pales and she locks her jaw, looking between the two. “Get the fuck out and don’t ever let me see your faces again.”
I glare at that, gently lifting her eyes to mine. “You sure?”
She nods, licking her lips. “They did what I told em’ to.”
“Which was?”
“Get you.”
“She’s right, we did.” The other one rushes out, looking between us. “We told you we didn’t know-”
Wren shuts him up with a slow shake of his head, stepping closer to sandwich him between him and Levi. “You heard her.” He teases, gripping his jaw. “This is your face, and she doesn’t like it. Beat it, little boy.”
He swallows his fear and grabs his friend by the shirt, then they take off running without looking back. Levi smirks at that, moving in to close the distance between him and my little brother to back him up into the wall.
The fucker likes him mean.
Wren shoves him back but Levi doesn’t budge. Instead he grips his neck and twists it to the side, pinning Wren’s body with his and moving in to speak in his ear.
“Fuck me, that’s hot.”
I lock my jaw and look at Callie, honest to god wondering how long it’ll take for these drugs to wear off so I can punish her sexy little ass for that and everything else she’s done today.
“Damon?”
“Yeah, baby?”
She tips her head back on my shoulder and slides her eyes up to mine, grinning a little bit. “How badly do you wanna choke me right now?”
A light laugh leaves me and I tangle my fingers in her hair, dropping my forehead on hers. “I was so fuckin’ scared for you, punk.”
She nods, using what little strength she has to press her lips to mine. “I’m scared for you.”
“Why?”
“You hurt him, Damon.” She whispers, bouncing her eyes between mine. “You could go to jail for that.”
“Don’t think on that right now.” I tell her, sitting forward to lift her up onto my lap. “We need to get you to the hospital-”
“No.”
