They were both nice, if not a little frazzled.

The brunette pulled me backstage. “Okay, Cherry is just finishing her number. You’re next. And if you don’t know what to do, just do what you did for the audition, okay? I’m sure whatever you did to get Stevie to hire you will be good enough.

I swallowed and looked down at myself.

I was in a pink, bejeweled bra that pushed my boobs together and made them look bigger than they actually were.

It was connected with some glittering string of fake diamond beads that came down to the matching bikini bottom that I was wearing. I was told the string would come off if I tugged on it, making it easier for me to take off the top.

Lucy was right. It was more modest than what she had on, which looked like nothing more than a thong. At least mine covered my butt cheeks, but that wasn’t the problem.

The problem was that I could see my men sitting next to Gabriel in the back and Gleb standing nearby and speaking to them.

They each had a frown on their face.

The music stopped, and Cherry bowed, not that my men were paying her any attention. Mikhail stood up, and I thought he was going to get me when Cherry walked back to the stage and smiled at the two girls.

And then I was gently pushed out on stage, the spotlight on me.

I froze.

I couldn’t see out to the audience anymore. Not with the lights on me. My eyes shifted, trying to find something to focus on and keep the panic under control, but I was stuck, unable to move even an inch.

Oh, no.

I was going to be sick.

“What the fuck? Princess!”

I winced at the sound of Nikolay’s voice tinged in anger.

“Stop the fucking music,” Mikhail shouted.

The music cut off, the lights came on, and the spotlight was off me.

I wished it was still on because now, I was staring down at three angry monsters, one confused look on Gabriel’s face, and the wide eyes of the four other strange men in the place, obviously coming to the strip club to enjoy themselves.

Gleb winced when he caught my eyes before he quickly bowed his head, his eyes on the floor. At least he was looking away.

“Everyone has five seconds to get the fuck out of this building. Any man or woman who stays behind will be shot on sight,” Damien said calmly.

“Now,” Nikolay added menacingly.

I watched in some amazement how quickly the room cleared out.

Gabriel met my eyes as he walked past, and I didn’t like the look of sympathy in them.

I was in so much trouble.

I turned and tried to get out of there as well.

Perhaps I could get lost in the crowd.

“Not you, kotyonok.Don’t make us chase you. With the way I’m feeling now, you won’t like it.”

I winced and stopped.

“Turn around, pet,” Damien commanded softly. I knew better. There was nothing soft about the man. Never had been, and never will be.
