Page 7 of Who I Crave To Be

"You know about cars?"he asks in bewilderment, thick eyebrows hitting his hairline. As those ocean eyes darken to the hue of gray that brew a hurried storm out at sea.

"I know about this one," I gasp.

He chuckles and it's sin coated in a fine chocolate, that I'm begging to give me a cavity.

I shudder, turning to glance at him as he guides me to the passenger seat.

"To answer your earlier question, you’d be surprised at what I can do."

I fold into the seat, rolling my head around the leather imagining it's the sheets I'm becoming tussled within.A low growl has me snapping my eyes open and gazing at him warily.

Deano has his eyes glued to my ass as it grinds into the seat, fitting my curves like perfection."Keep making love to my seat like that, we won't be making it to dinner."

I straighten, a wicked gleam to my brown eyes as I firmly set my bad bitch persona back in place."I'm yet to be certain we'll even have dinner," I remark, knowing I'm taunting him.

He doesn't disappoint when he leans across the console and places his hand on my bare thigh, squeezing."I'm sure we can find something to fill our mouths."

"I'm sure we could," I whisper, opening my legs and arching into the chair.

"Oh no, Sin.You taunted the beast, now you'll have to wait for the rewards."

I hold onto my seatbelt, back pressed into the leather when he lets loose and puts his foot to the pedal.Kicking up gravel, he spins us out of the parking lot and onto the open road.

The terrain evens out and fields open up on either side of us.The narrow country roads feel smooth under the wheels as we fly through the night. The Bugatti is super fucking light, so when I say I can feel the speed as it vibrates through me, burning through my veins, that should tell you how fucking powerful this beautiful baby is.

Clenching my thighs, my ass pushes into the seat again as my chest cracks wide open.

The speed pumps adrenaline into my veins and the rush entices me with so much more.I need something that pushes that cold rush coursing through me into an iced-over exhilaration that makes me feel like I’ve been reborn into the ice and snow.

The refreshing feeling restarts my heart and renews my wild life.

Opening the window, I unclip my belt, shimmying from my seat.I move forward, readying myself to move through the window frame when a firm hand clenches my thigh.

When I look back, I see Deano smirking at me."I won't let you fall, Hellcat.Live a little. What do you have to lose?"

The answer to that is more than he couldeverorwillever possibly know.I gulp, needing the high before my chest constricts and I suddenly feel like I'm drowning under the suffocation.

I flick on the radio, and Halestom’s- “I Like It Heavy”booms through the speakers and makes my teeth tremble from the force of the vibrations.

I can feel the beat as it pounds within my chest, feathering out until my whole body feels like it’s a twitch away from dancing to the bass.

I tried to fight the demon in my soul and lost.

Popping my head out of the window, I turn at the hip and flatten the arch of my back against the door. The moment I do, the air is instantly stolen from my lungs. The speed we're going turns my cheeks into mere sheets billowing in the wind, but who the fuck cares?

No one can see me.

I give myself to a stranger and hope with everything that I am, he doesn’t let me fall.

I trust Deano's hold, as I scream to the sky.Letting out everything within me, bellowing it to the stars above. It's muffled and warped, but I hear it in my damn soul.

I don't have a death wish, honestly.I can't even describe to you what I'm feeling right now, or how I know with the utmost certainty that I won't die here tonight.

You may think it's foolish to trust my intuition, but that's all that I have.

If I honestly thought tonight was the night I met my maker, I'd lock myself in a padded room until those boney hands of death found someone else to claim.

Because I'm a woman who wants… No.Needsto live.
