The fae princes and their mates were all staring at them. Bron gave her a look that said some kind of big sister lecture was bound to happen in her future. Imogen didn't care what anyone said; she wouldn't walk away from the only person who ever really understood and accepted her.Allof her.

Surely Bron would understand that. She had never gotten close to anyone before Killian either.

Kian pulled out a small vial. "I only have half of Aisling's blood left, so let's hope this works. Where have you put your mirror, Bayn?"

"This way." Bayn waved at them to follow him. "Haven't had much use since we started using phones, so I put it where I place everything else I don't need."

Imogen's hand drifted to take Arawan’s. His long fingers around hers felt like the most natural thing in the world. She had never thought she would be happier just from holding a hand, but clearly, Arawan had fucked out the last of her cynicism.

"Are you serious, Bayn? In here?" Killian complained when Bayn opened a set of double doors.

"Why not?"

"Because it's weird and creepy," Elise replied, stepping closer to Kian.

Inside, the hall was filled with frozen bodies, and propped against a huge fae was a silver mirror with runes carved around the edges.

"What else am I supposed to do with them? It's not like I can just throw them out," Bayn replied and looked at Freya. "Do you think it's weird and creepy?"

"Yes," she said and kissed his cheek. "But I like that about you."

They all knew that Bayn would always be the fae prince executioner, and these were the enemies they had defeated. Imogen had heard about the hall of frozen bodies from Freya but had never actually seen it.

"Bro, this is the coolest, weirdest trophy room I've ever seen," Imogen said, looking closely at the twisted, frozen face of a warrior. "Madame Tussauds got nothing on this."

Bayn shot her wink. He lifted the mirror and placed it upright on a throne. Kian stepped forward, muttering under his breath at the scratches on the frame.

"If I knew you were going to throw out an enchanted mirror, I wouldn't have given it to you," he muttered, tossing his long red mane behind him.

"Don't be so dramatic. It will work perfectly fine," Bayn argued.

Arawan's warm body pressed in behind Imogen. "Are they always this argumentative?"

"Yes, they are actually behaving because you are here," she replied. "Why?"

"I'm starting to understand why you've always been so disobedient."

Bron snorted. "Imogen didn't need the influence of three brothers to be disobedient."

"Don't you tell him a damn thing, Bronagh Ironwood, or I'll make you regret it," Imogen warned, hands on her hips. Bron mimed buttoning her lips, and Arawan chuckled softly. Bron's eyes went wide in surprise.

Imogen crossed her arms. "Yes, Bron, he can smile and laugh. He's not that impressive even if he is a god."

"I'll show you how impressive I can be," Arawan growled, and goosebumps broke out along Imogen's neck and shoulders.

"It's working," Kian called, interrupting them. Bloody runes had been scrawled over the mirror's surface and were glowing softly. They moved around the mirror, and Aisling appeared through the mist and gloom.

"Thank the gods you're okay! I thought the castle disappearing had killed you," Aisling said to Bayn and Freya.

"Aisling, what is happening?" Arawan demanded.

"I'm not sure, but I am searching for the answers. The castle and Annwn are intact here, and from what I have seen, the courtiers are unharmed," Aisling replied. She looked about her nervously. "You should know, I think that Hafgan's envoy did something to break your connection to Annwn. My lord, you have to get back before he arrives. Dafydd has been strutting about like a squawking rooster, saying that he's coming to take your throne."

Arawan laughed. It was cold and vicious. "He can try. I will find a way home, Aisling. Tell the court. Don't let Dafydd worry them too much."

"I will, my lord, but hurry," the sorceress said as she began to fade away.

"I swear, Hafgan's days are fucking numbered," Arawan promised, gripping the mirror frame tight. "You tell them I'm coming, and any traitors will answer to my blade."
