Niall narrowed his eyes. Without warning, he sent a dozen sharp icicles at me, but I was a step ahead. I took control of their essence, and they stopped midair before shooting back toward him.

He grinned, and they dropped to the ground feet away.

I caused the earth to roll under them, making them lose their balance and fall. The trees surrounding them shook, dumping snow over Niall and Theo.

“I’m pretty sure I didn’t ask for this!” Theo whined as he melted the snow off him and dried his clothes. “I’m a lover, not a fighter.”

“You attacked me first!” I laughed. “I was ready to train, so really you started this.”

“This is the best training you could do.” Niall flicked snow off his shoulder. “But if you want to stop, we can.”

Was this a trick? I darted my eyes between the two of them, waiting for either to make a move. “You’re surrendering?”

“Yes,” Theo said at the same time Niall said, “No.”

They exchanged looks, and Theo rolled his eyes. “Dude, take the loss.”

Niall sighed and strode forward, freezing a path on the stream so he could cross to me. Theo hurried after him, the bridge disappearing with each step he took. I almost laughed as he squealed with his last jump. Niall did that on purpose. He could have kept it up indefinitely, but that would mean playing nice.

I stayed in place, pondering their next move, but Niall shocked me when he strode up, put his hand on the back of my neck, and drew me in. His warm lips pressed against mine, and I prepared myself for the disappointment when he pulled away, like he always did.

But he didn’t.

His other hand trailed up my arm, over my shoulder, and along the curve of my neck until he was cupping my cheek. Not wanting to let this moment pass, I tugged on the front of his coat, holding him close while soaking in the sensations of his mouth and tongue against mine.

I nearly jumped when another set of hands wrapped around my waist from behind. Theo pressed his body against mine, nuzzling the side of my neck.

Niall’s hand moved out of his way, letting Theo kiss a path up to the sensitive spot behind my ear. His tongue dragged down the column of my neck, and my knees went weak.

I was hallucinating.

Dreaming.

There wasn’t a chance this was real.

Theo and Niall kissing me.

At. The. Same. Time.

I sighed against Niall’s lips, which unleashed something in both of them. Theo pushed his hands under my jacket and shirt, pressing his palms to my stomach. The tips of his fingers traced the top of my jeans.

Niall deepened our kiss until the only thing that existed was us, the three of us.

I reached one hand back, holding onto the back of Theo’s head, holding him in place as he kissed, nibbled, and bit at my skin.

Niall’s hand slid over the front of my coat, grazing my breast in the worst kind of tease before spinning me to face Theo, whose hands lowered, squeezing my ass through my pants while his lips claimed mine.

Niall chuckled in my ear. “Admitting defeat?”

I froze, pulling away from Theo, and glared up at him as a smile tugged at his lips.

“You both better start running.” I warned only a second before they took off.

I hit them in the pack with poorly formed snowballs, laughing and chasing after them.

It had been a long time since I felt like an outsider, even when I transferred to Drexel Academy and met the rest of the bond. It hadn't been this awkward, which was saying a lot. None of the people on my shift said anything to make me feel that way. That would require one of them actually speaking to me. There was no outright animosity, just guarded smiles and the sense of being watched.
