“Oh my God. Oh! Oh God!” The pressure stunned her; the fullness was so unbearably perfect. Explosions raked across her skin.
Seth paused. “Okay?”
“Don’t stop. Oh my God! Don’t stop!”
His hands cupped her face again, and he drew her down for a wet, hungry kiss. His cock surged upward. River dropped her head into his shoulder, closing her eyes and just feeling…everything. So full. Her pussy and ass thrummed around the thick intruders. Heat pulsed in her core, spreading in a shockwave through her torso and into her limbs. Her breasts were so heavy from her arousal, and she knew the slightest brush against them would set her off.
As if sensing her thoughts, Seth brought his hand between them and caught one mound in his rough palm. His work-hardened fingertips rolled the engorged peak and River screamed, losing herself on a wave of ecstasy so extreme she didn’t know if she’d survive. She’d never experienced anything like this. Her thoughts dimmed, her focus narrowing to just the bliss rolling over her in unending waves. She couldn’t breathe. The rush of the blood surging past her ears drowned out everything. She couldn’t even get her arms to move.
Then Tai and Seth each shifted. One pulled back then the other withdrew while the first pushed back in. River’s cries echoed around them, and at first, she didn’t realize it was her. They fucked her hard, slamming in and out while she writhed, out of control. Their hands were everywhere, stroking her, arousing her, claiming her. She just kept coming. Whether it was the same orgasm or one rolling into the next, she didn’t know. She didn’t care. She never wanted it to stop.
“I love you,” she gasped as Tai stiffened behind her, and she felt his warmth filling her ass. “Oh God, I love you.”
“Love you,” Seth echoed, stiffening beneath her. His eyes squeezed shut, his teeth gritting as he came. They collapsed together, but River couldn’t complain about being squished between them. She loved it.
“Forever,” Tai added. “You’re ours, River.”
“Yes,” she exclaimed. “I’m yours.”
“Our wife,” Seth murmured.
“Yes,” she laughed. Sadness gnawed at the edges of her euphoria, but she willed it away. Not now. She wouldn’t entertain the emotion for even a second. She was theirs. She belonged to them. Every moment with them brought her to a new understanding of their relationship, binding her to them.
Now, more than ever, she prayed that somehow, she’d beat her odds. She prayed for a miracle.
Chapter Seven
River tapped her feet as they waited for her doctor. They’d been at the hospital all morning, and because of the nature of her illness, the physician was having the results read immediately. Today, at least. It felt as if they’d been waiting forever.
Seth sat beside her and gripped her hand. She knew it was as much for him as it was for her. Though both men tried to hide their nerves she still saw them, loud and clear. Seth seemed to vibrate with tension even as he remained motionless beside her. While a third chair had been brought in, Tai had yet to sit in it. He paced the room behind Seth and River, reading all the doctor’s diplomas and the miscellany pinned on the walls. His arms were crossed over his chest, and he didn’t touch anything. He just scowled as if none of it passed his muster.
“How much longer?” he demanded. “He knows you’re waiting, right?”
It was rhetorical. He’d been there at check in.
Seth glanced at his phone. “It’s only been a few minutes.”
“Doesn’t he get that every minute counts right now?”
His growl warmed River. She loved this man so much. His distress actually calmed her nerves and gave her a different focus. “I’m sure he does. Baby, come here and sit down.” She patted the seat beside her. “Tell me where you two are taking me first on this honeymoon trip.”
“It’s a surprise,” Seth argued.
River threw him a glare. “Work with me here,” she muttered, near his ear.
“It is a surprise, wife-to-be,” Tai agreed. Heeding her beckoning, he dropped into the chair next to her, took her fingers and laced them with his. He lifted their joined hands and kissed the back of hers.
A knock sounded then, and the doctor popped in. “Sorry to keep you waiting,” he said after he’d settled behind his desk. “I wanted to double check the scans and consult with my colleague before coming in.”
“Okay?”
He looked from Seth to Tai, furrowed his brow then looked at River. She tightened her fingers around her men’s. “You can tell me the results in front of them. They have full access to my medical information.”
They would in a couple days, anyway. This morning, Tai had put in a call to Jax Danell, their lawyer, to get all the paperwork started. Jax had said he’d have it ready for them to sign this afternoon.
The doctor nodded. “Without confusing things with the technicalities I’ll write in your file, the tumor hasn’t deviated from what we’ve expected. It’s grown, and the change is at the rate we predicted at the outset of your treatment. Everything looks same. It remains a contained mass, and other than size, there’s nothing to indicate the other attributes have changed. As you know, we can’t fully know without more invasive tests.”
She sucked in a harsh breath and tipped her head forward to hide the rush of despair filling her. He’d ripped away her last, small tendril of hope that maybe there’d been a misdiagnosis or maybe the thing wouldn’t grow. She’d always known better than that, but it hadn’t stopped her pipe dreams.
