“And what do you want here?”

I heaved a sigh to calm myself. I gathered all the strengths that I had before facing him. “I-I just want to ask i-if I could stay in y-your p-pack. I-I have nowhere to g-go,” I said with my quivering lips. My heart was pounding like hell. It even doubled when he raised a brow.

“Without anything to offer? You’re one hell of a thick face she-wolf after what you did earlier. You have the nerve to ask me to let you stay? You even called me a pervert.”

My whole body froze, and I heard Leila’s loud gasp beside me. I closed my eyes tightly. “I-I’m s-sorry…I’m really s-sorry.”

My vision clouded because of the imminent tears in my eyes.

Damn it. He will surely be going to kill me now! This will be the end of me.

“I’m sorry, Alpha, I d-didn’t know,” I heard Leila’s tiny voice. I took another deep sigh.

Damn it. What should I do? I can’t die! And I can’t be on my own!

Silence filled the room while I was thinking of ways to somehow bargain with the Alpha. As much as I don’t want to be here, I also don’t have any place to go.

“Alpha - “

“I can cook and clean,” I said desperately, cutting Leila’s supposed sentence.

I slightly raised my head to look into his eyes. My chest tightened in fear at his fiery gaze. I won’t normally meet his gaze, but this time I was determined to convince him that I could still have a role in his pack even if I am not a skillful warrior. I was desperate.

He was just looking at me blankly. I cannot decipher his expression at all. It was as if he was in the middle of deep thought. Well, is he not going to accept me in his pack?

After a few minutes of deafening silence, he finally sighed. And I was stunned when he suddenly walked away without saying anything.

I was left there, dumbfounded. What was that? I was about to ask Leila when she pulled me up on my feet. I looked at her confusingly, but she just smiled at me. “Welcome to the Blood Moon Pack.”

I was in! Oh my god. I couldn’t believe it! I can’t believe that I am now part of the Bloodmoon pack! The Alpha didn’t say a word before leaving, but Leila assured me I was accepted.

“You’ll be staying with us here,” Leila said as we headed to the omegas quarters.

I nodded at her. I followed her to the quarters. It was a small house just beside the mansion. There was a small living room upon entering. There’s also a kitchen and a dining room. Across the living room were four doors; those were the rooms of the omegas serving the Alpha. There’s also only one common bathroom outside. Each room has two double beds, and they all look decent enough.

“Celine, this will be your room.”

Leila walked through the first door. There I saw three ladies unpacking their clothes. I looked at the women and just nodded.

“Hi! You’re new?” the girl with the short hair beamed. She seemed very jolly and welcoming. I just gave her a small smile.

“She’s Joy, and that one’s Saddie,” Leila introduced them to me. Saddie, the girl with the black straight hair, just nodded and continued arranging her stuff. Joy gave me a sweet smile.

Her name suits her, huh. She’s very joyful, I must say.

“Girls, meet Celine. She will be one of us from now on.,” Leila added.

“Hi, Celine!” It was Joy.

I just gave her an awkward smile. Leila tapped my back then. “Come, I’ll get you some things.”

I heaved a sigh and nodded at her. I tailed her to the cabinet in the corner. She opened it and sorted different kinds of clothes. Since I wasn’t able to bring a single thing, Leila provided it to me. I just gave her a small smile and thanked her after. When I was done arranging my things, Leila brought me outside to help with the other servants already.

It was a busy day, and Leila was patient with teaching me the things that I needed to learn. That was what we did the whole day. When evening came, we prepared for the Alpha’s meal and served it in the mansion. I was so anxious the moment we stepped inside the mansion again. Luckily, some of the pack warriors were there, too. They were busy, so the Alpha barely noticed us - as if he would ever notice me, anyway.

Oh God, what was I thinking? Why am I even worrying about that? I should focus on doing my work well so that I can prove myself here.
