He just chuckled and nodded eventually. I then looked at the omegas and Leila and gave them a small thumbs up.

Leila just shook her head and smirked at me.

The next days were usual for us except for the fact that the Crest Moon was still on the move outside. Our warriors and our allied packs were doing their best to evacuate as many werewolves as possible so they won’t be a victim of the crazy Crest Moon Pack anymore.

“Alpha, news of Crest Moon’s movement on the other side of the land has spread out. They are being watched by the other packs that are on our side. We will ensure to be updated on every move they make,” Darius reported to Lucas.

It was a usual meeting that day with the Alpha, the Beta, the gamma, and the Luna. We were meeting because of the news that our trackers just relayed to us. I shifted in my seat and looked at each one of them.

Lucas gave out a sigh before looking at Gamma Brian. They discussed some defensive tactics and other strategies they could use in an emergency. I couldn’t help but just sigh. As I looked at each of them, I began to think about how my life had changed since I was cast away from my former pack. Oh gosh, who would’ve thought that I would be here, right? Who would have thought that after everything I experienced, I would be able to sit here with the high-ranking werewolves of the Blood Moon pack? And hell, I am the Luna.

The meeting lasted for a couple of hours. After that, we all went back to our posts. I also resumed my training while Lucas kept himself busy with the interrogation of the rogues that were captured. But we could still spend quality time together after our busy schedules.

“The moon shines so brightly,” Lucas said while we were both leaning on his balcony window and looking at the moon. I suddenly thought about that strange feeling that I felt when we were mating.

“It always shines that brightly almost every night,” I answered him.

I felt his hand encircling my waist. “You were right, Celine. We were meant together. What happened to us with our mates was meant to happen. Our father was connected. They shared a vision. Damn, we were soulmates,” he said in amusement. I pursed my lips and couldn’t help but smile. I leaned on his chest and returned my eyes to the moon.

“I think the Moon Goddess made this for us. She made us become the people that we are, Lucas. This time, let’s be better.”

I looked up to him. He met my gaze and smiled at me as well. “And together, let’s avenge their deaths, Celine. Let’s fight for our fathers and for the people they have abused and attacked,” he said in a cold and serious tone.

I looked at him intensely and nodded at him, determined. “We will.”

I cupped his face and smiled at him again. He sighed before he pulled me for a

kiss under the bright moon outside the window. I closed my eyes and responded to his hot kisses. It was a passionate and slow kiss; hopefully, the Moon Goddess was watching us from above. Slowly, we walked toward the bed without breaking the kiss. Lucas slowly laid me on the bed and kissed me properly.

Oh, Moon Goddess, please bless us in our endeavors. I really love this man, and I love this pack. Please guide us in this battle.

Chapter Sixty

“Alpha! Alpha!”

I immediately sat on the bed when I heard the noise coming from outside the room.

“Lucas, hey,” I woke Lucas up. He immediately purred and scratched his eyes.

“What?” he said

“It’s Darius,” I told him and went out of bed. I walked to the door and opened it. A panting Darius greeted me.

“Where’s Lucas?” he asked.

“Still in bed,” I said and let him in. When I turned to Lucas, he was already in his black robe. He looked grumpy while messing his hair with his hand.

“What?” he asked Darius in an irritated voice.

“Crest Moon massacred a whole town! The other packs are already there to help,” Darius announced, his eyes looking perturbed by the news as well.

I covered my mouth in shock. I saw Lucas groan and clench his jaw.

“Go! Go get all the warriors!” he immediately commanded. Darius sprinted out of the room while Lucas and I went to get ready.

It took us a few minutes before we were able to go downstairs. When we got to the field, all the pack warriors were there already, ready to go and fight. I took a deep breath and looked at Lucas. He held my hands, and we walked side by side in front of the warriors.
