“Everything in place?” he asked Brian. The latter just nodded.
I surveyed everyone. They were all ready to fight and stop Crest Moon. I took in a deep breath and swallowed hard.
“Let’s go, then,” Lucas ordered.
All of us marched outside the huge gate, determined to engage in battle.
When we reached the town center, it was so chaotic already. Everyone was running and crying. Most of the houses were devoured by fire, and some establishments have already burned into ashes. It was total pandemonium.
Our warriors immediately got busy upon our arrival. I looked Lucas in the eyes, and he did the same to me.
“Hey,” he called and tightened the grip on my hand. “Stay safe.”
I just gave him a small smile before nodding. “You, too.”
He nodded before we split up and fought the warriors of Crest Moon. They weren’t all warriors. Some of them were just ordinary werewolves, and it seemed like they were just forced to be in this battle.
My anger doubled at that thought. How dare they force innocent werewolves to fight for them! Fuck! They are evil, and it disgusts me.
I shouted as I poured all my anger on the werewolf I was fighting. In one snap, I slit her throat with my sword, and she fell to the ground. I was panting while glaring at my chaotic surroundings.
“Well, well,” I immediately stopped what I was doing when I heard a familiar voice.
“Daria the bitch,” I spat.
She was just standing a few meters away from me. Seconds later, Michael also appeared beside her.
I clenched my jaw and observed myself. I was kind of afraid that I would feel that pull again, but to my surprise, no. I didn’t feel anything.
“Hello there, ex-mate,” the jerk smirked at me.
I just raised my brow at him.
“Finally decided to spearhead this attack, coward?” I taunted him.
His face immediately darkened. “I am not a coward,” he said through gritted teeth.
I chuckled mockingly. “Yeah, you just ran away like fucking baby, right?”
“You bitch!” Daria exclaimed, which made me laugh even more.
“Oh, look at that. I remembered that’s what you did that last time we fought, too, right?” I let out a sardonic laugh. “I guess you’re really a match made in hell,” I said while smirking.
She muttered consecutive curses and was about to attack me when Lucas stood in front of me. The bitch immediately backed out. Tsk. See? Coward.
“Let’s fucking finish this, Michael,” Lucas said coldly.
Michael growled. His eyes darkened even more. Then he immediately, without a word, ran at full speed to attack Lucas. I clenched my fist and attacked Daria as well.
“Ha! Yah! You’re a pitiful bitch!” Daria mocked.
I grabbed her hair and slammed her to the ground. “Oh really?! I don’t know about you, whore!” I kicked her on the back, which made her groan in pain. She turned to me angrily.
“What the heck?!’
She growled and attacked me again, raising her sword in the air. But I easily tilted my body to the right so I could dodge her attack. I growled and raised my sword to slash her body. She tried to avoid the attack, but I was still able to graze her arm.
“Ugh!” she groaned while holding her bleeding arm.
