I pressed my lips together. I was about to say something when I received a mindlink from the Alpha himself.
“Get my dinner to my room..”
I was stunned for a bit. I didn’t know how to respond. That was the first time that he ever mind-linked at me. I blinked multiple times before finally turning to the food again. I cleared my throat and faced Leila again.
“He mindlinked. He wanted his dinner upstairs,” I said.
Leila gave me an amused look. “I see. Get moving then,” she said before joining our fellow omegas.
I heaved a sigh before joining them. There were at least eight of us who went upstairs to bring the food of the Alpha. When we reached his room, I was the one who stepped in front. I bit my lip and gathered my strength before knocking three times.
“Alpha… your dinner’s here,” I said.
We waited for a few seconds to hear him say, “Come in.”
I turned to the others and signaled them to push the cart already while I was the one who pushed the door open. The manly scent of the room greeted my nose. I was stunned for a bit as I stared at the vast and spacious room. The other omegas entered with the cart while I was just waiting at the back.
I saw that Alpha Lucas stood up and went to the couch at the center of the room where the omegas transferred his food. I didn’t even bother to go near them and was just about to go out when Alpha Lucas turned in my direction.
I bit my lip, and I slowly bowed my head. I heard him let out a sigh. “Just leave the food,” he said. I was about to exit, but he spoke again. “Stay for a bit, Celine,” I was startled for a while and quickly turned to him.
The other omegas were stunned as well. They glanced at me before proceeding to leave the office.
Leila gave me one last look before she quietly closed the office door. Now, it’s only Lucas and me again.
Why did he ask me to stay again? Besides, this is his office, so it’s kinda odd.
I cleared my throat before turning to him. Surprisingly, he was looking at me, too. I swallowed hard. “Uhh, do you want something, Alpha?” I asked.
He stared at me for a few seconds. “Come, join me,” he said while pointing at the vacant space on the sofa.
What? Is he asking me to join his dinner? I was too stunned that my feet were rooted on the floor.
“Come now, Celine,” he repeated when I couldn’t move from where I was standing. That’s when I blinked multiple times before finally walking toward him.
I kept my head down as I hesitatingly sat on the couch across from him. I swallowed hard as I finally was able to sit down.
“Have some,” he said and gave me the small plate that was supposed to be for his fruits. I blankly stared at the plate he gave me, wondering why he suddenly asked me to join him.
What the hell is happening?
I pursed my lips and just began eating as well. It was a silent dinner for us. All we could hear was the utensils that we were using. A few minutes later, I heard him clear his throat.
“How does it feel to be back, huh?”
I was a bit startled by his sudden question that I paused from eating.
“Ohh, it’s fine, I-I guess… but I was still unable to defeat Daria, though…I’m sorry,” I said regrettably while bowing my head.
He sighed.
“There’s nothing to be sorry about. You did great, Celine. We just didn’t anticipate their moves beforehand. But don’t worry, the next time we face them, we’ll ensure that we will be a hundred steps ahead of them. You will finally take your revenge against that woman. We’ll make them pay for what they took from us,” he said firmly.
The anger in his eyes was evident as I stared back at him. I noticed how he tightly clenched the table knife as if the fury he felt could not be quenched by mere plans.
I wonder what made him this mad.
What exactly did the Crest Moon pack take away from you, Tyler?
