“All of you, except Celine, leave,” the Alpha abruptly cut off Mina as his eyes fixed on me. My companions all looked at me, and my eyes widened as I stared at the Alpha. Fuck.

Why the hell did make me stay again?

I panicked when I heard the Omegas exiting the room. My heart rumbled violently against my chest as I awaited his next word.

Chapter Fifteen

I was fidgeting the whole time I was waiting for what Alpha Lucas was about to say. My heart went wild when I heard the closing of the door. Now, there’s only the two of us here.

Alpha Lucas cleared his throat. My heart pounded faster than before, and it felt like my heart would go out of my chest at any moment. I looked at him. He was still staring at me intently, like he was studying all my moves. And damn it, it just makes me scared of him even more!

“You didn’t prepare my breakfast. You weren’t there as well,” his cold voice echoed in the vast and empty dining room. I even felt all the hair on my body standing up.

Shit. Damn it.

“Uhh…I-I’m sorry. Sorry, Alpha. I was assigned to other tasks,” I said, my lips quivering. I had to bite it hard so that he wouldn't notice.

Shit, Celine. Act normal!

I tried to avoid his gaze, but then there was something in his deep blue eyes that kept me from avoiding it. Fuck.

“And why were you assigned to another task, huh?” he asked as his eyes narrowed.

I blinked multiple times. “Huh?”

Suddenly, I was lost for words.

“Do I really need to repeat myself, Celine?” he said in a warning voice. The way he stared at me screamed danger.

“L-Leila was the one who assigned me,” I replied in a shaking voice.

Sorry, Leila! Shit!

My eyes fixed on the floor, refusing to return his penetrating gaze on me. The way he stared at me was intimidating, as if he already knew something was up.

How I wish Leila’s here right now! What will I do?

“Really?” he probed.

My eyes widened when I saw him stand up from his seat. Then, he took a step toward me which made me stagger backward.

Why is he walking toward me? Shit!

I cursed under my breath as I watched him gradually closing the distance between us. Damn it.

I stepped back once more and swallowed the lump in my throat. He was going nearer and nearer, and my whole system was panicking already! Oh my gosh!

“Sir, I-I’m really sorry about earlier. I will make sure to cook all your food from now on. Promise,” I said in a desperate voice, afraid of his imminent presence.

He stopped and looked at me, only inches away from my face. His cold stares sent shivers to my spine. I felt like all the hairs on my body rose. Damn it.

“Very well, I’ll look forward to that,” he straightened his posture. Both hands were already in his pocket. His deep blue eyes were cold as he surveyed me from head to toe.

My whole body stiffened as I tried to smile and nod at him. “I-I will, Alpha…I-I’m really sorry,” I said once more.
