I smiled. “Not anymore.”
“Good,” he said and added a wink.
My cheeks flushed.
“Well,” Luke said, clapping his hands and standing from the couch. “That means the surprise we have for you will happen tonight.”
“Surprise?” I asked, growing excited. “You guys have a surprise for me?”
Rin chuckled. “Nope. It’s a surprise for the other witch who cursed herself.”
“Very funny, Rin,” I said.
Ezra nodded.
“Yes,” Luke said. “Now, go clean yourself up, dress in something nice, and when you are ready, we’ll take you to it.”
I hopped up from the couch as the excitement started to overwhelm my ability to sit still and headed toward the bathroom with my bags in hand. I didn’t have a clue as to what the surprise was, but I was so flattered they thought of me. I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store for me.

Once I had finished gettingready, dressing in one of my favorite thin, shimmering, silver tops and a pair of thick black tights, I slipped on my strappy sandals and did one last check of my appearance in the mirror.
My makeup was better than I had done it in a while. And little curls of brown hair twisted around the shape of my face. I smiled at myself and delighted in the brightness of my eyes. They showcased the green and gold along with the brown.
Everything was perfect. So, I walked into the living room where Ezra waited for me. He leaned against the back of the couch, staring at the floor. When he heard me coming, he lifted his gaze to mine and smiled, holding onto a folded bandana.
“That’s not for me, is it?” I asked, pointing at it.
“It is,” he said.
“You realize, most girls love flowers, but I’m really digging the handkerchief,” I teased and flashed him a wink.
He chuckled. “Come here and turn around.”
“Oo, kinky,” I said as a smile stretched my lips.
“You know it,” he said. “Nothing but the best for my dirty girl.”
I giggled as I walked to him and turned my back around. He placed the bandana over my eyes, blocking out my sight. Ezra then took my hand into his incredibly soft one and guided me toward the door and then outside.
Burning wood filled my nose with a hint of fire-kissed food. As we drew closer to wherever the surprise was, I caught the sound of firewood cracking and popping as a fire fizzed with life.
I sucked in a breath and licked my lips. They must have had this whole thing planned for a while. I wondered how long they kept this from me.
Judging by the direction Ezra was pulling me, we were heading around to the back of the cabin. And it wasn’t very long until the blindfold was removed, and I discovered I was right. But more impressively, I was shocked to find four wooden Adirondack-style chairs encircling the firepit which was built with rounded stones. In the center of the pit were several small hens resting on a grate, surrounded by potatoes and corn on the cob.
“Wow, this is all for me?” I asked, setting my gaze on all three of the men, standing shirtless in front of the fire.
The men nodded and smiled.
“Oh my. You sure know how to gain my attention,” I said.
“Of course, we do,” Luke said.
“Thank you for all of this,” I said. “But what is all of this for?”
“For you, duh,” Rin said. “Thus, the whole pomp and circumstance of having you go get ready.”
