“Okay, shoot,” Lea encouraged her.

Mary arched her eyebrow. “Why don’t we call itStinkz? It’s likeCats, but it’s about a submissive and nobody dies at the end.”

Brie and Lea broke out in peals of laughter.

Sir came walking over, smiling, “What’s so funny?”

“Nothing, Sir Davis,” Mary assured him. “As you know, Lea and Brie have no sense of humor and will laugh at anything.”

Sir smirked at Mary. Turning to Brie, he held out his arm. “Your presence has been requested.”

He walked her to the kitchen where Rytsar was already lining up shots to toast the film.

Rytsar raised his glass to Brie. “May your documentaries live on forever and give our future generations, likemoye solntse, hope that no matter what path she chooses sexually, she will be accepted and loved for who she is.”

Everyone raised their glasses enthusiastically and drank to the toast.

Brie smiled as she looked at all the people gathered around her.

Although she knew she’d have a tough fight getting this film out in theaters, she had a deep sense of pride knowing her work had given them a voice—and that voice was powerful and beautiful.
