Brie could hear Hope bouncing in her bouncy seat, and went to pick her up. Sir had watched over her for weeks so Brie could concentrate on the film. Lifting Hope up, Brie twirled her just as Sir had.
Brie told her, “Mommy is done, so that means it’s time to party Hollywood style.”
Brie could hardly contain her excitement as she and Lea prepared the house for the big party. Lea had insisted on coming over to help decorate, while Sir and Rytsar went off to rent a giant screen and projector.
Thankfully, Boa had offered to bring hors d’oeuvres for the special viewing, which Brie was eternally grateful for. With Boa in charge, she was guaranteed killer snacks for the event without the stress of having to prepare them herself. In her current state of chaos, it could have spelled disaster and she would never have been able to live that down with Marquis Gray in attendance.
Brie had envisioned something grand and had rented long red velvet curtains with gold, braided ties. She wanted to transform their great room into a movie theater. To enhance the look, she had also rented red velvet Louis chairs to give the room a more theater-like feel.
“Are you nervous?” Lea asked as she helped Brie hang the curtains.
“Not about the film. I think it’s great.” Brie blushed. “I guess that sounds really conceited of me.”
“Not at all, girlfriend. You should feel that way about anything you create. It’s a sign that you’re confident in your work.”
“What I’m really nervous about is if the people I filmed will like how I treated their individual scenes. I really tried to showcase each person and to highlight the important elements of the scene itself, but there were limitations because each one was filmed in a different setting.”
“I think that is what is going to make this film incredible. All that variety is bound to capture people’s imagination.”
“That or it’ll end up looking like a hodgepodge of scenes thrown together with no real substance,” Brie fretted.
Lea put an arm around her. “You create art, woman. I totally trust your creative eye and that big heart of yours,” she said, pressing her hand against Brie’s chest. “It’s what makes you stand out from all the rest.”
Brie sighed, giving her a half-smile. “Well, if everyone coming tonight feels that way, I’ll be golden.”
Lea squeezed her tight. “I can’t believe it. Tonight, we get to see your labor of love that has been years in the making. This is so exciting!”
“I can’t tell you how glad I am that you’re a part of it.”
“Are you kidding? I consider it an honor, Brie.”
Once they had the chairs set out, Brie counted them to make sure she hadn’t forgotten anyone. As she pointed to each chair, she called out their names. “So, we’ll have Rytsar, Tono, you, Autumn, Marquis, Celestia, Ms. Clark, Master Anderson, Shay, Boa, Mistress Lou, Baron, Captain, Candy, Mary, Faelan and Kylie.”
Lea tsked. “Wow, those last three could prove an interesting combination.”
“I’ve talked to all three and they said they’re fine with it.” Brie shrugged. “I guess we’ll see if they were telling the truth tonight.”
“Can you imagine watching your boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend suck his cock on the big screen? EvenIdon’t think I could handle it.”
Brie laughed. “Thankfully, Kylie has already seen it. I didn’t want her to feel blind-sided by watching it the first time with everyone else.”
“What did she say after watching it?”
“She said Mary has good skills.”
Lea burst out laughing. “Wow, I gotta hand it to her, Kylie’s fucking awesome.”
“Yeah, I think so, too. I mean, it’d be easy to pick Mary apart, but the girl really does know how to suck dick.”
“I wonder how Faelan will feel watching it.”
“I actually think that’s the reason Kylie is okay with the scene. Faelan said when he viewed it, he felt like he was seeing two people he vaguely knew performing a scene together. He felt so detached that he could actually appreciate the scene without feeling any emotions about it.”
“Huh…I don’t think I’ll ever get to that point. If I saw Liam again, I would be a total basket case.” She shivered. “But Faelan’s way more mature than I’ll ever be.”
Brie bumped hips with Lea. “Don’t knock yourself, girlfriend. You were put through hell and lied to. Faelan, on the other hand, knew exactly what he was walking into when he collared Mary.”
“True…”
