So much had happened in here, and now it had all been erased. It was a clean slate for someone else to create memories in.

Brie headed to the baby’s room last.

She chuckled, remembering that in the beginning, this room had been a storage room for all her stuff. Sir had not been prepared the night he collared her, but he still insisted that she quit her job at the tobacco shop and start on her first film while she moved in with him.

It had all been a wonderful shock to her.

At the time, Sir told her that he would never have kids and, eventually, the room was turned into a guestroom that Master Anderson, Tono, and Rytsar had all ended up using. But, it finally found its real purpose when Hope graced the world.

Running her hand down the doorframe, Brie held back the tears.

This was Hope’s room.

Brie had spent countless hours in here breastfeeding her and rocking her when she couldn’t fall back to sleep.

So much of her was tied up in this place…

“No need to cry, babygirl,” Sir told her. “Life is out there and we need to pick up our little girl so we can take her home.

Home…

A permanent home where Hope could grow up and have a lifetime of memories.

Brie smiled up at Sir and took his hand. “Yes, it’s time to go home.”

The Letter

The tranquility of their new lives was shattered when Rytsar received a letter from Russia.

Brie was visiting Rytsar at his beach house so she could give her favorite Russian a littledyadyatime with Hope. While he played with the baby, Brie entertained herself by throwing a tennis ball for Little Sparrow. Brie threw the ball in the air but when the dog leaped up to catch it, the ball bounced off her nose and rolled under a desk.

She looked at Brie and whined.

“I’m sorry, sweetie,” she told the dog, getting down on her hands and knees to look for the ball. When she reached out to grab it, however, she noticed a letter that had slipped behind the desk. She pulled it out and stared at the envelope, intrigued by the flowery handwriting.

Suspecting it was from a woman, she got back on her feet and walked over to Rytsar, who was making Hope giggle with a game of peek-a-boo.

Brie was curious about who had sent it, and asked, “New secret admirer?”

“I have many, radost moya,” he answered with a teasing smirk. Shifting Hope over to one arm, he took the letter from her. Rytsar studied the return address and smiled as he tore open the sealed envelope.

“It’s from a submissive of mine—a girl I’ve scened with many times,” he explained, chuckling as he pulled out the letter. “She is a feisty one and often needs to be punished.”

As he read it, the smile on his face slowly disappeared.

“What’s wrong?” Brie asked, now worried.

He shook his head.

Watching him as he read it through again, Brie saw the color drain from his face.

“Is she okay?”

Without answering, he handed Hope to Brie, set the letter on the counter, and walked out the front door, heading toward the beach.

Stunned, Brie stayed rooted where she was and watched him through the large window. Rytsar walked to the water’s edge and just stood there, staring out at the ocean.

Her heart raced as she glanced at the letter again. Although she was sorely tempted, she did not pick it up to read it. After her dealings with Ruth, Sir’s mother, Brie had learned her lesson about reading letters that were not addressed to her.
