“A miracle, yes. However, it’s also proof that one should never give up.”
“True,” she said, wrapping her arms around him. “We’ll never give up because we’re condors.”
Sir leaned down to kiss the top of her head. “Condors forever, babygirl.”
Brie let out a contented sigh. “I’m so happy right now.”
“I know how I can make you even happier.”
She looked at him with a flirtatious smile. “I bet you do, Sir.”
Closing her eyes in anticipation as he leaned in for a kiss, Brie could feel his lips just centimeters from hers. Instead of kissing her, he said, “I want you to pack a bag for the weekend.”
Her eyes popped open. “Where are we going?”
“Durov has invited us to stay at his place for the weekend while I go over my new plans with the contractors.”
Brie’s eyes lit up. “Oh, I can’t think of a better way to spend the weekend.”
Sir nodded his agreement. “It’ll give the three of us the time we need.”
“And Rytsar will get hisdyadyatime with Hope.”
“Yes, and that is important, as well.”
She looked at him playfully. “I can’t believe you teased me with that almost kiss just now.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Has it left you needy?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“What would you like?”
“I would like a kiss, Sir.”
“Beg for it, babygirl,” he commanded seductively.
Brie tilted her head up and looked into Sir’s eyes with genuine desire. “Please, Sir. I’m begging you for a kiss.”
No sooner were the words out of her mouth than she felt his firm lips pressed against hers. The man still had the ability to take her breath away with a simple kiss and she melted against him.
When he released her, Brie let out a little gasp.
“You’ll receive another once you’re done packing your bag.”
Brie felt butterflies in her stomach as she turned to leave. She traced her fingers over her tingling lips while she walked down the hall.
Going to the baby’s room first, she started to pack for the weekend. She smiled to herself as she folded Hope’s tiny clothes in the suitcase.
To honor Sir’s wishes, Brie also packed up her laptop to bring with her. She wanted to look over all the scenes she had already filmed.
Now that Hope was six months old, Brie could pretty much take her anywhere she needed to go. There was no reason why being a mother should hinder her film career.
“Radost moya, it is good to see you again!” Rytsar said, answering the door with exaggerated enthusiasm.
“What? No greeting for me?” Sir mumbled.
“Eh…” The Russian looked at him as if unimpressed. “Greetings, peasant.”
