“Hey, Mary Quite Contrary, you wanna hang for a bit?” Mary glared at her with her chin in the air, but Brie wasn’t fooled by her act. “Seriously, Lea and I want you to come. It’ll be fun.”

“Fine. Whatever.” Mary gathered her things and joined them in the elevator.

Lea looked at Brie questioningly, and then turned to Mary. “I hope you’re planning to buy several rounds of drinks. It’s the only way I’ll be able to stand you.”

Brie was surprised by Lea’s honesty, and stood there wondering how Mary would react.

“I insist,” Mary said with a smile. “With a couple of rum and Cokes in my bloodstream you might actually start to sound intelligent.”

Lea stuck out her tongue.

Brie couldn’t help it. She started to giggle and then it dissolved into uncontrolled laughter. Lea soon joined her. Brie watched Mary’s expression twitch, then crumble, and then she began laughing, too.

In that moment, the three became a true sisterhood. Brie beamed at the other two.Look at us—the Three Musketeers of Submission. The Training Center had no idea what it was in for…

A Little Girl Time

Brie looked over at Mary, formerly known as Blonde Nemesis, while she sipped on her gin martini. She’d taken the girls to a local joint with cheap drinks and a casual atmosphere for their feminine ‘debriefing’ after the second auction. The bartender was a friend of Brie’s, so he made their drinks strong in appreciation of her patronage. It wasn’t a sexy hangout spot by any means, but they could chat in their long coats—which covered their school uniforms—and no one would question it or bother them.

Tonight was all about sharing the little details only girls share with each other. However, Brie had invited Mary, and that choice seemed to be stifling the conversation. She decided a few personal (but not too deep) questions might help the girl to open up. “So Mary, I heard that you work in a pharmacy. What made you decide on that career choice?”
