“Keep your cool, Nikolai,” he whispered. Fuck that! He was threatening my woman. “Check the security cameras so we can see where they take her.”
He was right, of course he was. It was hard to keep cool, knowing Olivia was so close to me. I wanted to take her out of this situation. When I got my hands on Malcome and Vlad, I’d gut them alive.
“You two stay outside and keep watch,” Vlad ordered two other men. Honestly, I was surprised Malcome had absolutely no protection on the outside. Either he was very stupid or too cocky.
Accessing the security cameras with a punch code, Olivia’s slim figure came up on the screen. She fumbled through the house, as Vlad roughly dragged her around. I ground my molars so hard, I was sure they’d dissipate.
Leaving the hallway, they turned left into the dining room area, and I quickly switched cameras to that room.
“There is my fiancé,” Malcome’s voice was a hiss. He was a snake, through and through.
Even through the small screen of my phone, I could see Olivia’s body stiffen. I couldn’t even imagine how scared she was right now.
“Take the head cover off her,” he ordered Vlad.
He did, and for a moment, Olivia kept blinking her eyes probably adjusting to the light. Those bastards must have kept her head covered since they abducted her this morning during her jog.
“There you are,” Malcome purred as he stood up from his spot and walked to my woman.
I saw enough. It was time we invaded. That snake of a man shouldn’t be within thousand miles of my woman.
Through the haze, I heard Dimitry give out orders of rounding in.
“Fuck you, Malcome,” Olivia spit on the man. “I’m not marrying you, you sick bastard.”
He moved fast for an old fucker. His hand wrapped around her slim neck. “You better watch it, Olivia. I can still hurt you.”
“You won’t live long enough to hurt me.” She struggled to speak but there was defiance in her posture and her face. I was so proud of her. “Because Nikolai will kill you.”
That’s right, baby. I will kill him. I will kill anyone who tries to hurt you.
“I like her already,” Dimitry muttered under his breath next to me before we started for the house.
Although I didn’t grow up here, I knew every stone and every mound of dirt. Dimitry took my lead as we snuck our way to the house. Two of Vlad’s men were roaming around the house. No words were needed, in sync both Dimitry and I struck, breaking the guards’ necks. We didn’t want to alarm the men on the inside. The element of surprise would ensure we got to Olivia before they could do something stupid.
We quietly dragged bodies and hid them behind the large bush that would conceal the view of bodies from the inside of the house.
After they were secured, I glanced back at the security cameras, and what I saw made me see red. There was no chance in hell I could keep cool. Olivia was being forcefully held down on the dining room table by three of Malcome’s guards. She wore only running shorts, and they had managed to take her shirt off. She was kicking, desperation and fear written all over her face. Malcome began dragging her shorts down her slim legs.
“Going in,” I bellowed with rage. I wanted them to hear me on the inside. Get their filthy hands off my woman. There was no room for delay.
Forcing the door open with my shoulder, I barged in and ran for the dining room. One of Malcome’s guards came out, and I shot him without hesitation. Dimitry was at my back, our men surrounding Malcome and Vlad from all the sides.
Then another guard tried to shoot at me, but before he even had a chance to pull the trigger, a bullet went through his brain. It hit with precision between his eyes, which told me it was the work of Ilya. I would have to thank him later.
As soon as I entered through the dining room door, I stopped dead in my tracks. Dimitry did the same right next to me.
Malcome held a gun to Olivia’s head. His arm wrapped around her neck in a chokehold. She had her fingers dug into it, trying to pull them off so she could breathe. The engagement ring stark contrast to this situation.
Her body was shaking, wearing only a pair of panties and a sport’s bra.
“Not a step further.” The look in Malcome’s eyes was that of a lunatic. Both Dimitry and I stood motionless. “That’s right, I am calling the shots here.”
He pressed the gun to Olivia’s forehead. She bit into her lip, holding her whimper and fear. She refused to give Malcome any more ammunition. Her eyes were locked on me, all her love glimmering in them. It was for me to protect her. She was mine.
“You stupid bastards. You were all so focused on watching me,” Malcome bragged, “while the entire time I worked my plan to bring Olivia back to me. She belongs with me.”
“Fuck you, Malcome.” She jerked against his hold.
