The words slipped without a thought. “You wanted siblings?” His question caught me unaware.

“Yes,” I admitted, gazing out the window. “I always loved the idea of a big family. You?”

The temperature in the car chilled a few degrees, and I risked a look his way. His expression darkened, sending an unsettling feeling up my spine.

“Yes.” His voice was frigid, and I didn’t dare to question whether he was saying he wanted siblings or he had siblings. Or was he saying he loved the idea of a big family.

The rest of the drive, we spent in silence.

ChapterSeventeen

NICO

At the mention of her dad, sadness enveloped Bianca. Then we started talking about families and the reminder of Nicolette felt like a stab in my heart. I missed her. We might not have talked every day, but just the knowledge that she was on this earth was a comfort. The knowledge that she could call me or text me anytime and vice versa grounded me.

I should explain to her that I had a sister that was brutally murdered. I glanced her way, but she seemed deep in her thoughts, and I decided to wait. There were plenty of days for the gloomy history.

Instead, I found myself wondering what she was thinking. I have been in her life for two days and somehow, she has become my ultimate wet dream. And very important to me.

Tasting her on my tongue yesterday, I knew I’d fuck her often. And in the elevator. Fuck, I was half tempted to stop it midair and fuck her right there. Her long, dark, silky hair and her soft, curvy body were my weakness. I could wrap her silky strands around my first and hold her by it as I fucked her mouth. Among many other things.

Jesus Christ! Her body and the way she responded to me would fucking ruin me. Before I even got her where I wanted her. The soft, innocent expression in her dark eyes seemed to burn through my soul and straight down to my cock.

A woman shouldn’t have this kind of impact on me. It didn’t bode well in our world to desire something so much. Despite being Benito King’s daughter, she was so much better than him. Cassio and Luca would become protective of her and her daughters. If I was honest, I could reveal her existence to them, and they’d keep her and her daughters safe.

Yet, I refused.

For the promise I made over Nicoletta’s grave. And for my own selfish reasons. I wanted Bianca’s everything, starting with her submission and body. And I was stuck somewhere between agitated and pleased with that revelation. After all, she’d be my wife, so it was good I found her excessively attractive.

We pulled up in front of her house and immediately my attention went to a strange vehicle in the driveway. It wasn’t the same one from yesterday that the grandparents were driving. Unbuttoning my suit jacket, I ensured I had easy access to my gun holster. Bianca glanced around, her eyebrows scrunching.

“Hmmm, they are early,” she muttered to herself. I wondered if she forgot I was in the car. The woman could be dangerously lost in her own head. It kind of reminded me of Nicoletta. She was a dreamer too.

“Who is?” I questioned her, my eyes on alert for any potential threat.

The front door of her house was wide open; that shouldn’t be. I would leave men to keep an eye on her house when nobody was home too. I couldn’t leave anything to chance here.

Bianca threw me a side glance then returned attention to her home she seemed to love so much.

“My kids and in-laws.”

Pulling up, she didn’t bother waiting for me to open the door. She rushed out of the car, and no sooner was she out of my Aston Martin, two little girls came running. I knew she had twins: I saw them yesterday as they ran out of the house, their mother chasing them with shoes. But seeing them up close, something in my chest twitched. They were identical twins, and they didn’t resemble Bianca at all.

Bianca ran up the lawn, and both girls ran straight towards their mother, throwing themselves into Bianca’s wide open arms. A fit of giggles sounded through the air and Bianca kept showering their faces with kisses.

“Stop,” one of them giggled, her little hands on Bianca’s face as if to push her away but was holding on to her mother.

“I can’t help it,” Bianca’s voice carried through the breeze. “I missed you two.”

An older woman came through the door and Bianca greeted her with a wide smile. “Hey, G-mom.” She beamed.

“They couldn’t wait to get home,” the older woman explained. I knew from the background check it was William Carter’s mother.

All four laughed happily and carefree, forgetting all about the world around them. Bear and Leonardo were both beside me, while the other men went to do a parameter check.

“That woman is different,” Leonardo muttered. I knew what he meant. He knew she was Benito’s daughter, yet she couldn’t be more different. I wanted to preserve it, best I could. Yet, I knew there was a good chance that I’d ruin her too.

Security would become an everyday necessity in Bianca’s life. Things were moving quickly, especially with the latest discovery of Jenna’s betrayal. As soon as I was done here, I intended to go back to where she was being held and question her.
