I shoot a text to Mac and Jax to let them know where we’re going, just in case.

This is fucking risky.

I fall down on the sofa, running a hand along the freshly shaved hair on my head. My phone rings, Jax’s name flashing on the screen.

“Yeah,” I answer.

“Dude, Diego isn’t going to like this shit.” He yells, background noise cloaking his words, making him hard to hear. He must be at a club.

“It’ll be fine. Jasmine just wants to see them for tonight. I told her an hour, tops.”

The noise on the end of the phone gets further and further away, then I hear the front doors open and the sound of the city. He’s quiet when he speaks this time, “Travis, this isn’t a good idea.”

I take a breath, “Jaxson, relax. No one will find out, she just wants to see them one last time, and then it’s over. She’s done.”

“You are one dumb mother fucker, T. Diego is going to find out, and then it’ll be your fucking blood I’m cleaning up.”

Sweat beads on my neck, I sit forward placing my elbows on my knees, grunting through the phone, “Diego isn’t going to find out, who’s going to tell him? You?”

He laughs a humorless laugh, “Fuck you.”

“Exactly.” I say, because he’ll never rat me out.

“What if someone from Westside snitches? Huh?” He asks, his voice thick with tension. He’s pissed I’m being reckless.

“You ready, papi?” Jasmine calls from the other room, so I stand to start making my way towards her.

“I’ll call you if shit gets dicey, keep your mouth shut.” I whisper to Jax through the phone, hanging up before he can say anything else.

“Te amo,mi vida, come back soon.” Jas’s mom says as we get back into my Maybach in her thick Spanish accent. She turns to look at me, “Take care ofmi hija, Travis.”

She blows a few kisses with her hands, I give her a grin as I throw myself into the driver’s seat and start the car. Jas gets in the other side, closes the door behind her then leans over to pull my face to hers.

Her lips find mine, I can feel her smiling through the kiss, “Thank you.” She breathes, and I crack my eyes open to grin at her.

“I love you.” I respond, she rubs a hand along my face, then buckles herself in while I pull the car out to the road. I shoot a text to Jax to let him know we’re good, heading through the neighborhood to get back into the city.

“I told you everything would be fine, Travis.” Jasmine says next to me, her hand scrolling her phone trying to pick some music.

I chuckle, looking at her through the corner of my eye, “You sure you’re ready to leave them behind?”

Her hand stops moving, and she turns her entire body sideways so she can look at me. “You’re my family, Travis.”

I crack a smile, keeping my eyes on the road. She continues, “Will it be hard not seeing my parents? Yeah. But, if your wife getting initiated into Eastside is something that’s required, then that’s what I’ll do.”

I laugh, “Oh, I didn’t realize you were my wife.”

She clicks her tongue, “I will be,preciouso.”

I turn my head to look at her, and she grins. I shake my head a little on a chuckle, blowing out a breath, then she’s unbuckling her seatbelt to climb onto the center console and get closer to me.

Her hand finds my crotch as her mouth finds my neck, “I love you, Travis Monroe.”

Her hand strokes me over my jeans, her mouth sucking at the flesh of my neck, her tongue licking my skin, making my blood heat.

I groan, “You keep doing that and I’m gonna have to pull over, princess.”
