“Today, around four. Can you guys be ready by then? We can pick you up.”
“Don’t see why not, handsome.” I grin.
Jax rubs his palms together again, standing up, then holds a hand out for Summer to grab. She stands with him and he pulls her into him with a kiss that takes mybreath away, my thighs clench together watching them go at each other.
Travis kisses at my neck from underneath me making me clench tighter, sighing a little in response, “We better go, or I’ll never get out of here without straddling you.”
Travis laughs into my skin, nodding his agreement before releasing my waist and letting me stand on my unstable legs.
Chapter Twenty-Four
Travis
“I’m not goingto survive a two-hour car ride with you two buffoons if you don’t stop.”
Mac and Jax are sitting parallel to each other on the sofa while I sit at the kitchen table sketching, waiting for the girls to let us know they’re ready to go.
“Stop what?” Jax grunts.
“We’re not doing anything.” Mac adds.
I keep my eyes focused on the series of peonies I’m sketching, not wanting to fuck any of it up. “This pissing contest you have going with Summer. You both knew what you were getting into when you started plowing the same girl.”
“Don’t know what you’re talking about.” Jax answers, kicking his feet up on the coffee table casually.
Mac laughs, “Jaxson is mad because Summer likes me more.”
“She doesn’t like you more. You’re just bad at fucking sharing, dude.” Jax spits in retort.
I blink, focusing on the basic outline I’m making with my pencil – I’m designing it for Olivia, she’s mentioned a few times that she wants to get started on her sleeve, and I know these are her favorite flowers – the damn things are scattered all around her room.
“What’s the deal, Jax? You’re fucking jealous of me and Summer?” Mac’s voice cuts through my fog. Jax laughs, then I hear him sit up straighter, so I risk looking over at them to make sure no one’s going to start swinging.
“There’s nothing to be jealous of, Malcolm,” Jax laughs again, “I amalsofucking her.”
Mac points a finger in Jax’s face, “Don’t worry, Lil J, after the summer ends you won’t have to worry about me and Summer anymore, it’s not like she’s going to the same school as us.”
I stand, ready to intervene, but Jax raises his hands in the air in surrender, “I just want to have a good time, man.”
I look back and forth at my two best friends, realizing that neither one of them is willing to give this girl up. I dip my eyebrows a little in question as they lock hands and pull in for a hug, agreeing to share better like a couple of kindergarteners.
“The fuck is happening?” I mutter under my breath as I turn back to my sketchbook.

I pullup to Olivia’s building to find her and Summer standing on the sidewalk, suitcases in hand, both smoking cigarettes.
I throw my Rover into park and hop out to meet them. Olivia smiles that smile that makes my stomach sink and my dick hard all at the same time. I resist the urge to throw her up against the wall, opting to give her a kiss on the cheek instead in greeting.
I grab her suitcase, while Mac is grabbing Summers and Jax is pulling open the trunk to toss them in.
Suitcases secure, Olivia in the front seat with the other three buckled into the back, I pull onto the street to head east towards the highway.
Olivia finds an Eminem playlist on my phone and shuffles it, making her way even further into my heart, and the whole car erupts in mixed volume levels of rapping and singing for the next half hour as I make my way out of the city then onto the 495.
My ears catch Olivia singing on a female chorus, her voice makes me snap my head towards her and watch her belt out the lyrics, her feet kicked up on my dash like she owns the place. When she’s done with the chorus, I finally shake my head, remembering that I’m going 80 mph and should probably watch the road.
“Yo, Liv,” Jax breaks through Eminem’s voice, leaning forward on the center console, “I didn’t know you could fucking sing like that!”
