"That's not even half of what I'm worried about, Punk," he shoots back.
I straighten and let the smirk fall. "I will protect them, love them. They will want for nothing here."
He glares at me before a strange expression crosses his face. "I always wondered why I wasn't blessed with a truemate," he says quietly. "You get two, Punk. My pups."
"Cassidy told me that Mina raised my mates?" I ask him.
He nods. "We dropped the fucking ball with them. All three of them were barely existing. I'm not proud of that," he admits.
I nod. "If you didn't Claim their sister and Blu, what would have happened to my mates? What would have been their fate without a powerful male, a powerful pack, to protect them?"
Teague pales. "I don't want to think about it, Punk."
"Sí,Jefe." I kick Hugh again. "I know what would have happened."¡Chale!I just rescuedmimamáfrom an attic.
Teague watches the groaning bag dispassionately. "I didn't beat him too badly. He's gonna be real surprised to open his eyes on LoboGris land. Unless you have some other plans for him?"
I smile coldly. "Sí, I have a plan,Jefe. He needs to tell me wheremi hermanitois."
"English, Punk."
"My brother. Bembe," I grind out. "Thisculerohad him and is the only one who knows where he is."
"Another brother?" Teague's eyebrow quirks. "You need me to interrogate him?" he looks at me hopefully.
"No." I reach down and pick up the bag, slinging Hugh over my shoulder with no concern about him. "I met the alpha of the Carabona."
"They have no alpha."
I laugh. "They have an alpha. At least they have a wolf calling himself 'alpha,'sí?" I start walking.
"I heard they fuckingvotedhim in."
"Explains why he's weaker than he should be."
"Also explains why they're so tight-lipped."
"Sí."
"You have an in with them?"
"I don't. You do," I tell him.
He raises an eyebrow. "Do I?"
"Diego. The alpha. He claims Leilani is his sister."
Teague stops walking for a moment. Then, he takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. "Yeah?" he says quietly. "I have some questions for him."
"You'll let your brother ask them?" I poke the beast.
He scowls. "No," he snaps.
"It is Devel's right," I point out.
"He isn't her... well, fuck," the Beta glares at the ground as if the dirt personally offended him.
"After the party," I tell him, fighting off the smug grin. He'll go, and he'll smile, or his pregnant mate will give him hell.
